Maine residents our time is here!

And I see your point, but I have Children and relatives scattered all over the country, and would like to see even more reciprocity.

Maine residents our time is here!

Wasn't thinking clearly. In Some States the dealer does not have to call in for a background check, because the feds figure the background check has already been done.

Maine residents our time is here!

In which case you are absolutely correct. As i'm sure you are aware, the most Gun Friendly States in this Great Country require a certain amount of training to carry. The issue with Maine as I see it, like myself at one time, a person could just go to the town office and in 5 minutes could...

Maine residents our time is here!

It's obvious to me you are confusing reconization with reciprocity. They are two totally different things. You are saying recognize, when you mean reciprocate.

Maine residents our time is here!

So when did NH stop recognizing Maine? It must have occurred after I sent them a photocopy and some Money to get a non-resident permit. I still stand where I am. I still think winding up like VT., which is limited to it's own borders, is not an upgrade in Rights.

I know I'm in the Minority, but saving $20 every 4 years, to lose reciprocity with 20 some states is not a good trade off to Me. I have had a permit to carry since 1978, it is neither hard nor expensive to acquire or keep.

Know of any Browning A-bolt issues?

I've had a Medallion for 20 years or so in 280. No issues and very accurate.

Need feedback on M1A Op handle removal

Some, like mine, require you to wiggle and slight, very slight, pressure with a screwdriver. Remember, it went in, it will come out. Extraordinary measures should not be necessary.

do you own a overkill rifle?

Ocasionally, I will take a 375 H&H Sako Carbine, with 235gr handloads, after whitetail. Can not think of a single sensible reason not to.

    What if????

I would certainly hope many, of not most on this forum, have made it a point to aquire firearms through "private" dealings.

    NH ranks again!

We dropped from 2nd to 3rd this time around (Maine). Still no reason to move! Don't really get Nevada in last place, just doesn't compute as they say.

    The Best Overall Rifle Caliber

Not on the list, but I'm going to go with Jack O'Connor on this one,(only because I own one and agree) the 375 H&H.

Whats the minimum acreage in your county

In my neck of the woods, you must be at least 100 yards from a dwelling, 10 feet off the road. Of course, that doesn't mean if you ventilate someones front door, who happens to be 300 yards away, your covered!

Writing Ruger's President for a New Revolver

My four inch Security Six will digest anything made, day in and day out. It is neither heavy, or in my humble opinion, ugly. Mr. Rugers' claim of never making a penny on it, may have had a great deal to do with the hand fitting required 40 years ago. With todays way of doing things, a profit...

Well, if you ever get to the point of hitting that card consistantly, you will succede in cutting the light rifle, world record, in less than half. Good luck with that.
