    Remington Model 11

I just got one in a trade. There are no marks on the receiver other than the serial number. The barrel says it is a model 11A. The wood has been refininshed, looks good. The metal has been sprayed with some sort of paint, appears to be one of the bake on coatings. I want to find out some more...

Recommend a survival knife under $50...

I have a Ka-Bar I really like. It is styled after the USMC knife, but has a short area of the blade that is serrated. Has plastic of some sort for the handle and a Kydex sheath.

I just traded for a Western Field Model 712. That is the Monkey Wards store brand. Best I can figure, it is an early model Savage 340. Mine is in pretty good shape save for a few parts missing- front and rear sight and the barrel band. Looks like Numrich has everything but the barrel band nut...

    Georgia Members----

I'm in Soperton, central GA. Looked at Eagle, Arvin's and The Rifleman in Macon. All had about the same prices. Would be worth the drive to save some $$. I am still considering getting a Model 1 Sales kit and a lower and putting one together.

    Georgia Members----

Where is a good gun store? I have looked at a couple in Macon, and their prices are a lot higher than folks in other areas are paying (priced a BM AR15). Thanks.
