Where is a good gun store? I have looked at a couple in Macon, and their prices are a lot higher than folks in other areas are paying (priced a BM AR15). Thanks.

Here's a few around me:

Ed's Guns in Marietta.

American Classic Marksman, Hit and Run, and David's Gun Room in Norcross.

Bernie's Sport Center in Lawrenceville.

Franklin's Sports in Athens.

Galyan's in Buckhead and Suwanee.

where did you go in macon?
have you gone to arvin's downtown?
how about howards pawn and gun?
the rifleman is down the highway towards warner robins
there is a huge one in warner robins i forgot what its called, its like a outdoors store + gun store, really big selection of guns
ingleside gunworks is expensive as all get out, at least a good amount of guns
and there is a gunshop in the smileys flea market that is kinda cool for its small size, but the owner packs a ton of guns into that stall/booth
BSR

I'm in Soperton, central GA. Looked at Eagle, Arvin's and The Rifleman in Macon. All had about the same prices. Would be worth the drive to save some $$. I am still considering getting a Model 1 Sales kit and a lower and putting one together.

I think the one BSR is talking about is in Warner Robins and is "Chucks". BIG place, lots of guns, fishing things, reloading supplies, hunting & outdoor stuff-got it all. May be kinda pricey though.

Second the suggestion on the "Rifleman" although the selection is not huge and some are 'niche' guns.

Couple of other pawn shops in WR, but if you go in one that is run by a redheaded lady, LEAVE. She is NOT into letting people 'browse' and look at things!

Try giffin gun and mercatile in griffin, about 50 miles north of macon, always has a good selection and fair prices. barrel

GDOG, First welcome to THR...I work and live in middle Ga. The last 2 guns I bought were from arvins and there prices were excellent. Joseph Bailey is the gun manager and Jason is the pawn manager. Either of those guys should give you as good of a deal as you will get. You could also call Ingleside Gun in Macon for a quote. I purchased a Sig p239 and kel-tec P3AT hard chrome slide and believe me based on all of my research, they treated me very fair...So go in and talk to Joseph or Jason..Tell them the guy who worried them to death over the hard chrome slide kel-tec sent you and treat you right..No need to drive all over if you are in Macon on a regular basis...Good luck...:)

GDOG, Closest to you are McCords in Higgston/Vidalia, Brantleys Marine and Guns in Vidalia, Oconee Bait and Tackle in East Dublin, Quality Salvage in East Dublin. I also recommend Chucks in Warner Robins.

Barrrows' in butler has some god stuff, as well as Nationwide in Columbus, for clasics, browning colts' ect.. I'd check with Broomes firearms in Fitzgerald. Oh yea gun country in Lagrange is good as well as Jerrys' in ambrose Ga...I know these re kinda scattered but they are all worth looking over or giving a call to.
