What is the most unreliable semi auto you have shot ?

Llama .380, Colt Pocketlite- Returned the Llama for a Mustang Plus II- it jammed, too. Mustang Pocketlite was nothing but a bottom-feeding auto-jammer. No more Colts. Current carry S&W Mod 42 or a Kel-tec .380 or .32. Haven't had any issues with the Kel-tec's using hardball except the .380...

    Colt resurrects the Mustang Pocketlite!

Hope the new ones are better than the ones I had- a Plus II, Gov .380, Pocketlite- all had numerous FTF and jam issues- turned me off to Colt forever and sold them all for big bucks- Good riddance! Does anybody remember the Colt Model 2000? 'nuf said... Love my full-sized 1911's, though- but...

Anyone prefer an all steel j-frame?

I like my Mod 37 for carry- I've got a 36 in my nightstand next to my 12 ga Winchester 8 shot Defender 18". I have a 30,31,34,35,36 adj sights,40 and 42 as well as a 19. I find the 37 MUCH easier to carry but the steel ones are nicer to practice with. The 19 is a real load to haul around...

Why don't they make a revolver in 9mm?

Why not a .380 Auto revolver? Superior ballistics to the .38 Spl about half the size- if you could make a 9mm revolver smaller than a j-frame you could make a .380 revolver about half the size as a j-frame- it would be hard to hold onto, though. And there's the rimless clip problem. I love...

    S&W Model 14/15 vs 19

I have a Model 19-3 4" pinned and recessed and it looks a lot like the Mod 14/15's- is the only difference that the 19 is .357? Somebody posted on another thread that the only cylinders that were recessed were .22's and magnums- my 19 is recessed and so are my 34's and my 35 but none of my J...

    Winchester 1200 Barrel

It's not 18" but I've got a 1300 24" barrel with rifle sights marked 'Deer Slug' I'd sell for $50 + shipping. It will fit your 1200. It has a little surface rust in a couple of places- I tried to buff out one of the spots- and the smooth bore- not rifled- isn't perfect but it's a good, usable...

    Winchester 1300 Magazine Tube Removal

I thought I explained that I wanted to make my Defender an 8 shot instead of a 5 shot. To do that the mag tube needs to be changed. That's why I wanted to do it. One of the other posters was replacing his receiver with a better one. There's two reasons right there. No offense taken- hopefully...

    Winchester 1300 Magazine Tube Removal

Use a home-made press to remove the mag tube I have a 1300 Defender 18" that came with a 5 shot mag tube. I also had a 1300 Defender 8 shot 18" barrel I bought on ebay that I wanted to put on my other Winchester 1200- I didn't know that the 8 shot used a longer mag tube. I decided to put the 8...
