This is typical Colt operating procedure:

Let someone else come in and take your market,
then try to get back into the game after everyone has spent their money on your competitors product.

I'll tell you what I wish someone would make, is a clone of the older (1940s) Llama 380s. those were more of a scaled down 1911 than any of the small Colts. They had the full 1911 lockwork, and were slimmer than the Colts - in scale with a 5" 1911. I have 3 or 4 of them, and value them more highly than my 3 Colt 380s

Let's see them.

Colt saw Sig selling truckloads of the same damn gun and wisened up. Good. I have a 238, but I'm going to buy one of these new Colt's as well. :yup:

True enough. I'm willing to bet the Colt will have upgrades like a slope/dimple mag follower, better feedramp and stiffer recoil spring. This is how Sig improved Colts design since the 2 share the exact same parts.

I'm not sure if Colt sold the rights to Sig or just allowed them to make the P238 but it seems Colt let Sig do the R&D and now they want in on the sales. I'm waiting to see a price on the Colt since it may or may not effect Sig sales.

Either way I'm happy with my flawless P238. I'm wondering why Colt decided to keep using those tiny sights though.

Hope the new ones are better than the ones I had- a Plus II, Gov .380, Pocketlite- all had numerous FTF and jam issues- turned me off to Colt forever and sold them all for big bucks- Good riddance!
Does anybody remember the Colt Model 2000? 'nuf said...
Love my full-sized 1911's, though- but none of them are Colts.
