Anybody have any info on the Sig P238

I own one, and it is everything it should be (and a little more). Very accurate for its incredibly compact size. Sights are very good. P238s get better the more you shoot them. Mine took 1-200 rounds before it really started to shine. Everyone that has shot it has immediately gone shopping...

    How to contact Sig Sauer?

Anybody notice how having to wait on hold -- for whatever short or long period of time -- nowadays is an inconvenience? We must have it now, and by God, if I can only communicate via email and not have to actually deal with a human being. Call Sig's 800 number. Wait for the next available...

Lightweight Pocket Auto - For Running

I run and have carried my Sig P238 on occasion (a local couple was robbed at gunpoint in the very same park -- at 4:30 in the freaking afternoon, with kid in tow no less--) when running. It fits in a typical runners' fanny pack (small, thin models for keys, etc.). Doesn't wear or chafe after...

    P22 vs Misquito

Mosquitos are just fine if you take care to feed them properly. Mine only likes CCI Mini Mags. As long as I feed it those...it is 100% reliable, accurate, and most of all...FUN. I have yet to have a problem out of my Mosquito. There are those out there who do have problems, just like with any...

    New Sig P238 Report

Mine was only slightly problematic in the beginning. But I can tell all P238 owners this: the more you shoot the gun, the better it gets. I am at rougly 750-800 rounds, and the thing just works better and better each time out. Shoot it, let it break in, and you will be rewarded by this...

CC revolver suggestions - no snubbies please

How important is the "concealed" part to you? To me, it is the driving factor. Cylinder thickness is the key dimension here (as noted above). I carry a Ruger LCR (I know you don't like snubbies) for all of the above reasons. The cylinder is very slim (5 shots, fluted). The overall length...

    Your favorite .380

What davezander said, above. Sig P238 does it all, and well. I'd LOVE to score a Mustang, but the prices they're getting these days are hard to overcome (for me). I, too, reload for the P238, and shoot it weekly.

    Anyone a fan of Tightgroup?

As others have said, it works well in .38 special and also in .380. I load 3.8 grains in .38 special behind a 125-grain Rainier plated bullet. Very fun to shoot out of my LCR at the range. In .380, I use 3.1 grains behind a 95 grain Rainier plated bullet. This load feels almost identical...

    380 brass

Keep an eye on the classifieds here on THR. I scored 500 pieces of once-fired .380 brass for $45 about two weeks ago. Good luck waiting on Midway (et al) to deliver Starline, Magtech or Remington .380 brass. I played the "on back order" game for over two months. The "expected date in-stock"...

    Pocket Carry 380's

Another vote for the Sig P238. 1. It takes some getting used to, carrying cocked and locked. The safety is very positive. As long as human hands don't touch it, it's not going to go off by itself. 2. Pocket holster makes this disappear, even wearing blue jeans wherein the pocket area is...

    Best starter equipment

It looks to me like you made a good choice in reloading equipment. I went with the Lee Anniversary Kit setup, as a cost-efficient way of slooooowly becoming a competent reloader. Once you spend the time to *really* figure things out, it becomes much easier with every round you crank out. I...

    Reloading 380

I crushed a few cases on my first attempt at reloading .380, too, with Lee 4-die set. With such a small case...you have to really slow down and be precise every time you raise/lower the arm on the press. FWIW...I use 95 grain Rainier round nose bullets and 3.1 grains of TiteGroup powder. This...

    380 ammo

As for factory ammo: I recently scored two 50-rd boxes of PMC for $12.50 per box. I do reload, and am waiting on brass from MidwayUSA. It seems to me that the brass is more rare than the factory ammo, at least around here in WV. Once that brass arrives...I'm done for the year!
