When I called they wouldn't replace it. When I replaced other springs I went ahead and got another one from Wolff springs. No problems before or after, but it did make me feel better. Ounce of prevention and all. Really flings brass now.
The target in my pic was a 5 round load work up on plain printer paper with no backer. The range I go to most often doesn't allow for cardboard backing. Only paper hanging from target runner (indoor range).
They were definitely doing something at the match. The 5 and 10 yard targets were...
I think we have a cause.
First, thanks everybody. I think we may have a solution.
Looks like my crimp was too tight.
I pulled a few and there is a ring on the plating where it got smashed.
Apparently it works enogh to stabilize close but gets squirrely at distance.
The 1.268 length is...
I will pull a couple tomorrow and try to post a pic.
Using RCBS 3 die set in a Hornandy LnL.
Pistol shoots fine with:
230 factory FMJ
230 plated Rn (frontier)
200gr MBC LSWC (yes its a Glock, but it shoots like a laser with this one)
Got to go to work now, will post more tomorrow.
It is about 3 months old, around 1000 or 1500 down the barrel.
No FCD, I tried it when I first started loading around a year ago and it now resides in the junk drawer. Total piece of trash in my opinion.
The crimp is pretty light, I can barely tell it has been loaded after pulling a couple...
Hey guys, just shot a match in Orlando and had a problem with my Glock 21.
At close (10 yards and closer) they all ran fine, but had a few start to keyhole at 15 yards and farther.
The load I am running right is as follows.:
range brass
200gr powerbond plated RN
7gr Power Pistol
loaded...
You are not alone. I just bought one and it had the same burr on the muzzle. Would have never saw it (I never look at the muzzle for some reason), but did after seeing your post. It is on the way back to S&W as well.
No excuse for it to happen on a PC gun. We all make mistakes, it is how...
Did I read that right? Are you buying your powder from Amway?
I didn't know they sold powder.
How much money you save depends on how much you shoot. If you shoot very little maybe reloading is not your solution. Saving money is not the only reason to reload. I like quality ammo and I like...
Their ammo is good, but the brass (9mm at least) is a little tight in the primer pocket area. It is the only one that gives me trouble when I use my universal decapper. Primer seating is about like S&B ammo, maybe a little better.
You can make something malfunction if you work hard enough. Looks like the leather has to be bent pretty far backward for that to happen. No problem since I have plenty of fat to keep it together. How did Comp Tac respond when you informed them of this issue?
Carry rotation includes.
Glock 19
Glock 26
Taurus 85 w/o lock
Keltec p32
That about covers all my wardrobe choices.
Looking for a reason to get a Kahr cw9 though.
Variety is the spice of life.
Get either one. If the screw backs bother you, just put some moleskin backing on it. It is cheaper to get the Spartan and put some 1.99 moleskin on it. Maybe a little thinner too, not really sure though.
I love my new M&P, but you cannot go wrong with either one. Get the one you and her shoot the best. If you cannot find a range to rent some pistols, ask a friend if you can go with him to the range. Offer to buy ammo, he will probably take you up on it.
