Buying an MK tomorrow. I'm hoping this doesn't turn into a huge caliber debate, just looking for some experiences anyone was had with this gun and how it handles each caliber.

I have a MK9 Elite 03 thats my summer/light dress carry gun. Its more accurate than me, carries easy, & reliable. It does have a snappy recoil, especially with +p ammo. I havnt tried a mk40, but with a stronger chambering might be a lill much for me as I like to practice with my carry piece regualarly. You might want to try and shoot bolth if possible, just my 2 cents.

I have owned both an MK40 Elite98 and an MK9 Elite98.

Both were excellent carry guns, but out of the two the MK9 shot better. The MK9 also had wood grips and truglo night sights (that aside from being night sights I think had a better sight picture than the stock Kahr sights) so that may be why it shot better.

If I could magically get one of them back I'd take the MK9 back in a heartbeat (although honestly I regret selling both of them).

Note that most of my carry guns are .40s and the MK9 was the only 9mm I ever owned that I really really liked.

You can't go wrong with either but I think in the long run you'll like the MK9 better.

I have an MK9 Elite 03 and love it! The little gun is super accurate and super easy to conceal. They are a little pricey but well worth the cash.

I have an early MK9. It has been flawless so far. Very accurate for such a small piece. Regards,

I have an older than dirt MK9 Elite 98 that has served me well. I've put three recoil springs and one extractor (thanks Wolf ammo). The gun continues to be my main pocket pistol.

I would choose the 9mm chambering for myself, for lighter recoil and another round in the magazine.

+1 another factor is that 9mm range ammo is cheaper.
