for some people, replacing the old ejector with a new one may not be necessary as long as you catch it early before it damages the ejector legs. this is a quick cheap fix for it.
i recommend you ask the manufacturer what they think would be the best course of action. my pistols manufacturer...
remington ammunition is dirty, underloaded, overpriced crap. i shoot wwb because it's cheaper, more consistent and it's burns pretty clean compared to remington or federal.
son of roost, talk to arnel or ivan at armscor presicion. they'll fix you up. they paid for my shipping and had fedex come to my house and pick the gun up.
ruger, i like that comment you left. i never said a bad thing about the higher end pistols. i was just showing that a low end one works fine and you dont have to dump 1,000 on a colt 1911 to get a reliable pistol. i will be the first to admit that, there are minor QC issues with the RIA 1911's...
there was mud in the bottom of the bucket and the gun was filthy. i was digging leaves and debris out of the gun and mags for an hour not to mention rust. you can see at the end of the video how dirty it was by how slow the slide went into battery when i dropped it from mag release so saying...

A quick video demonstrating the reliability of a RIA 1911 when filthy with filthy with dirt and debris. With ~1,700 rounds down this gun, and a recoil spring halfway on it's way to being replaced, this gun functions...
well i have had to send my RIA tactical to the manufacturer twice to have the feed ramp recut, breech face recut, and a new barrel installed. they damaged the slide when that recut the breech face and now it is gone back again to see if they can fix it(even thogh they failed the first time). i...
could be. i don't think it's making it to the extractor tho. usually the extractor will cause a stem bind. i need to reproduce the malfunction and see if it is the extractor. i'm gonna shoot it some today and find out. the smith told me to just use a heavier recoil spring, but that only covers...
it's doing it on the first round of an 8 round ACT and Mec Gar mag, but only when it's dirty. ammo used is wincester white box. i measured the OAL of the rounds and they are fine. so i should send it back again?
i have a RIA 1911 tactical and after i fire ~60 rounds of WWB, i start getting nose dives into the feed ramp. when i clean it the problem goes away. it is a somewhat new gun (less than 300 rds), but have never known a nose dive, to be a typical break-in malfunction. is this typical of 1911's...
