My dad has had this pistol for as long as I can remember, Im 56. Can anyone tell me what model it is? I always thought it was a challenger but not positive. I think there is something wrong with the firing pin it sometimes fires on the first pull of the trigger and sometimes won’t fire the round...
HexHead I have to say that is the first python I have ever seen that looked like it has had some honest use, great job, beautiful revolver. I also love the look of XB's 27-2 both great specimens.
curse you KRS I have a thing for .44 spl's so went and did a search for your model 24 and found this.

a little rich for my blood right at the moment but maybe some day.
what a coincidence I am starting my garden this week and after doing a soil test I noticed I needed more iron in the soil, so after watching 20/20 the other night and feeling so guilty about the guns I owned I went and buried them after running them over with a steam roller so they would not...
I have to agree I would not carry shotshells for sd use against a bg but I have been carrying the sp101 around the farm with the 1st 2 rounds shotshells followed with 3 hp's or swc's. I think this is a good combo around the farm or on a hike in varmit country.
you might look at the 3" sp101 they are easier to find, I just bought one off thr.us classifieds and like it very much, the guy I bought it from had some action work done on it and the barrel slabsided. it carries very well in my new simply rugged holster, I carried it today at easter services...
+1 for mainsails post, I can't believe the people who worry about those of us who buy, carry, shoot our glocks I NEVER put anything including my finger into the trigger guard unless I want to pull the trigger and destroy something. why is this so hard for some to understand and do if someone...
glad to here you like the holster I have one on order for my new to me 3" sp101, and will order another for my taurus 445 ti if I like mine as much as everyone else seems to like theirs.
any pics of your gp100 and the holster? I am considering a gp as my next purchase and like the idea of the...
I guess I don't need to post a pic of mine because it is a clone of yours dmazur I love that gun except the time I loaded some hot 300 gr cast performance loads :what: I almost lost my grip on the sbh everytime I touched one off. :D
I was checking them out on gunbroker a few weeks ago they seemed to be going for $4-500 depending on which model you looked at. other than that keep an eye on the for sale sections of your favorite gun forum. oh I also found one on craigslist but it was sold the same morning I emailed about it.
