    Anyone else do this?

Best just forget the double stack mags, get a good, Kydex plastic front pants pocket rig. Best pocket gun is Kahr's PM9 9mm. At 6" long, 15 ozs, it offers a fair amount of power in a very handy package. So what if you have to have a seamstress enlarge your pants pockets? You have an ideal...

Who is Col Cooper and why is everyone in love with what he says?

I began personal correspondence with Jeff in 1971, I think it was. I see no reason to bother with any bolt action at all, since the autos can do anything that the bolt actions can do, plus several things that they can't. I certainly would never bother with an overpriced, short ranged bolt...

If you could only have two guns....

Agreed, AR, 1911, but I'd get the alloy frame, compact version, so that ccw under a T shirt was a viable option. It can always "wear" a longer slide, comped barrel, weighted stocks, grip extender, etc, for match shooting, hunting, and so on. I tend to agree on the 2 pistols, rather than one...

If You Could Spend $10,000.00 Total for .....

I have no interest in shotguns, or wheelies so that would leave the field wide open for a couple of rifles and pistols. 2 Ar-15's, with the .50 and 7.62x39mm "uppers' as "spares", along with an M4 and a 24" HBAR. An alloy framed Commander, "fully loaded" Spld 1911, with several slide groups...

What handgun whould you buy for $250?

that would depend on what "niche" in my "collection" I thought was "unfilled", or whom I was going to give the gun to, I suppose. I'm quite content with the 4 handguns that I have, and I don't get enough time to really use those 4 nearly enough. I have plenty of fun with those 4, so I'd buy...

    Looking for .22 handgun

I prefer size-wt relevant guns. Smith 2214 about $200 used,is a sweet little kit gun. 6" long, 18 ozs. very accurate, nice Sights, nice trigger pull. Do a search for GunsAmerica.com. Dont pay a dealer more than $20 to get it for you, either. The safety is a bit awkward, and not really...

    M60-4 questions

Take a long look at the Kahr PM 9 9mm instead. Much more pocketable, and indeed, more controlable and powerful, too. If you want to shoot it a lot, I'd also buy a used, steel framed 9mm Kahr, so as to keep most of the wear and fouling off of the ccw gun. I see no reason to belt carry such...

    PDW thoughts

forget it. They are heavy, bulky, clumsy, slow into action. They have all the limitations of a more amenable pistol (for ccw) and none of the advantages of a good carbine.

I got some first time ar-15 build questions

Model 1 Sales kits are fine. 80% finished AR lowers can be had in the mail, like any other part. $160 (or so ) from KT Ordnance. Just do a yahoo search. No jig is needed to finish the KT AR-15 lower, unlike all the other 80% finished lowers.

    The Price of Martial Arts

If the class size is over 6 guys, it's just ballet-dancing. It takes a great master to really teach more than 4 guys at a time, too. Anybody worth anything these days gets $60 an hour, so figure $10-$15 an hour. If there's women and kids mixed into the class, or anyone below your skill level...

    Martial Artist vs Firearm

Just because I have a gun does not mean I wont nutkick you or gouge your eyes out. I've been practicing this scenario for over 20 years now.

    Martial Artist vs Firearm

It's spelled"Tueller". It depends. At the full 7 yds, if the pistol is under a T shirt, with the right ammo in it, and I'm focused on him. I don't care if he's another Bruce Lee. He doesn't have a chance. Ditto at 3 yds, if the pistol is in a front pants pocket rig, and I have my hand on...
