I have a 6" 686 that I sent back to S&W. When I picked it up at LGS I found they had also did a trigger job. It is the smoothest trigger I have ever shot. Not sure why they did it, but I certainly appreciated it.
I would look seriously at the Para. There has been a big change there in quality and customer service. Travis Thomasie, from Para, frequents some of the 1911 forums and is very quick to get any problems resolved.

M9 Failures
I had problems with mine jammimg and stovepiping with five different magazines. Cleaned and lubricated the gun and the same thing occurred. I was thinking about selling it but tried a different ammo and have since put 250 rounds through with zero problems.

I would like to have the 6" barrel of my S&W 686 replaced with a 5" and the cylinder modified to accept full moon clips. Any ideas as to where I can send it?
