    I don't like snakes

I like it better than Smiths numerical model numbers. Sometimes it makes no sense, the model 357 is a 41 magnum for crying out loud!!!

    Who needs 357 Dainty?

Lol. so true. I saw the title and assumed it was some kind of "Hans and Franz" type, overcompensating for...... something. 🤔

New to Me Ruger Speed Six

With your 4in Service Six and your 2.75 Speed Six, now all you need is a 6in Security. 😁

    Whittaker Guns closed

Apparently one of the Whitaker's, who is no longer involved with the closed store, and it's owner, is opening a new one. https://www.owensborotimes.com/features/2024/02/new-gun-store-coming-to-countys-west-side/

Is Taurus a Good Brand for Revolvers

Last year my LGS had a 3in 856 in the sales case. Tritium front sight with orange outline. Light, 6 shots, good barrel length. I've had bad experiences with Taurus from years back, hadn't touched one since. So I asked to see it, I started messing with the trigger DA then SA. Seemed ok. I started...

D&L Sports vs Cylinder & Slide

The OP is most likely ordering just the sight. I can't recall exactly how much time it took for mine to be delivered, a week, 10 days. I ordered the Extreme Duty U notch Pat Riot posted above. Drops right in, just a screwdriver and Allen wrench is all that's needed.

D&L Sports vs Cylinder & Slide

I went with C&S. The rear sight definitely has a lower profile than the stock adjustable. Seems well made

Any 3" revolvers in .44 spc weighing in the 20-29oz range?

S&W made the 396ti Mountain Lite with a 3in barrel. 18oz, rare, and $alty when they come up for sale! The 396 Night Guards all had 2.5in barrels.

    Replacing S&W Forged Parts

K frame parts can be found easily, and in abundance. As Tom mentioned eBay, many sellers there have parts to build several K frame revolvers from the frame up.

    Old GP100's or New GP100's

I have a blued 4in from 1986. I have a stainless 3in from 2012. Slight (minor) differences over the years. The original grips on the 86 are worn, so it got Altamonts years ago. The 2012 came with Houges, they have sat in the box since the compact grips were delivered not long after purchasing...

    Speed Six grip question

Is the back of the grip frame exposed or covered? Is there a cutout on the bottom for the serial #? It may have a manufacturer ID there.

    S&W Front sight replacement

I replaced the patridge front sight on my 629 Mountain gun with a Hi Viz. I didn't bother with the oddball sized punch and pin. I drilled the stock pin out with a 1/16th inch bit and used a Ruger pin I had. Pretty simple.

Ruger Six cylinder gap (big flame)

6.4 grns of Universal and a 158grn plated bullet (Xtreme) has been my 357 plinking load for years now. I don't have my notes handy, I moved recently, hate moving, lots of stuff still packed away. If I recall correctly my chrony clocked those at around 1100fps from a 4in Service Six. I've shot...

Love new shockwave… toy or serious arm?

I like mine. I added a Defender Tactical light mount. 600 lumen mini light. Defender Tactical grip. FO front sight. And metal safety. It's loaded with Federal mini (OPSol adapter) 4 buck. Handy lil blaster. I have no doubt it would be effective within 100ft, definitely better than a handgun for...

Front Sight for .327 LCR ?

Not sure what the POI would be with a 38/357 XS will be on the 327, but, I'll say that my XS is a massive upgrade to my LCR, significantly better with my declining eyesight.

    Colt vs. S&W vs. Ruger

I don't really have any strong brand loyalty. I do own more Ruger revolvers than Smiths, mostly because they were significantly cheaper when I was younger. If I was to only keep one though...it would probably be my 627 Pro, just a great revolver.

The Original Redhawk. 357 showed today

Nice find! Definitely one of the more unique platforms in the history of the 357.
