Does anyone have opinions and/or experience with D&L Sports or Cylinder & Slide? I'm looking for a fixed sight setup with a fixed rear and big dot front for my S&W 686.

I have a 327 Night Guard that came from the factory with an XS Big Dot front sight and a C&S fixed rear.
It appears that XS is out of stock on their Big Dots for larger framed S&Ws.

C&S doesn’t appear to have any of the XS Big Dots in stock either.
I would contact C&S to see if this rear sight will fit the 686:

I like the C&S rear sight I have on my 327NG. I did have to use Loctite Blue on it. Magnum loads were shaking it loose.

Edit - needs a photo

Post 1, I've zero experience with using either of these two companies for anything, although I've heard of both of them over the decades I've probably been on these gun forums.

I noticed Cylinder-Slide states they're backed up ~18 months, if that's of concern; whereas I couldn't find anything on D&L's website regarding its back-log.

Let us know what your thoughts are; what you want to get done; and how it all works out. I can imagine within 2 years, you'll have a customized revolver modified to your liking. Perhaps, if not done so already, take some "before" pictures now before the handgun gets sent off for perhaps 18+ months.

I was debating sending my Colt .380 Government to them, to have them spruce it up a bit... but I saw the wait time, and decided against it. That was about 15 years ago. I suppose that is a testament to their work, however, if time is not an issue.

The OP is most likely ordering just the sight.
I can't recall exactly how much time it took for mine to be delivered, a week, 10 days.

I ordered the Extreme Duty U notch Pat Riot posted above.
Drops right in, just a screwdriver and Allen wrench is all that's needed.
