I want to pare down my reloading stuff

I know exactly what you mean. My life changed abruptly and through that I felt like I had accumulated too much stuff, in general. I had to move a bunch of times and hauling around weight into the tens of tons, one wishes to have less. I went through ten years of that and part of me was growing...

I want to pare down my reloading stuff

A while back the unthinkable happened and I was forced to pare down, well, everything. Everything is accumulated in the past thirty or so years. I got pretty good at it. When it came to shooting and reloading stuff, I I settled for a brand. Ruger. That helped me with what calibers to keep. I...

    One Cartridge Per Platform Choice

At this point in my life it would be Ruger M77/44, Remington 870, Ruger Super Blackhawk in .44 mag. If Ruger answered my prayers and made a M77/45 it would be that and the same shotgun and the revolver would be flat top 45 colt Blackhawk. Perfect.

AR Builds -- What Parts Did You Choose and Why??

I’d never really been interested in building one. I’ve always paid attention to the cost of components vs. the cost of a factory assembled and as every one here knows what was now up is down and in some cases sideways. My FIL gave me an unfinished lower for Xmas as a project he and I can work on...

What firearm have you owned the longest?

Back when kids could go to a gun store with their parents and buy a gun without the government getting involved. Personal accountability meant something. I saved my money from chores and odd jobs around the house and with some money I got for Christmas my dad and I went to a pawn shop and...

What if an AK-47 chambered for the .223 Remington had existed in 1933?

What a fascinating topic! I’ve often wondered they “why” of the question of cartridge and firearm design of the day. If the manufacturing capability and knowledge of small bore was available to them at the time I wonder what difference it would have made. Horses had something to do with the...

Hello all. Life long enthusiast and long time reloader. Just kinda getting back into things after the busy-ness raising the kids and going to work. 642 Club Part Deux

I kinda like two tones...can you tell? The holster is an Uncle Mikes #3. It fits both revolver and pistol perfectly. I can carry it in my front pocket or back pocket depending on the garmint and no one is the wiser. Has anyone else seen the two tone 442-2? Just curious if they are scarce...
