Stupid question but doesn't 45-70 take a .458" bullet diameter?
I have a 45-285 FP-FB which I used for the first time about a week ago.
I will be using it for 45 Colt and 454 Casull.
I also have a 45-70- 350 FPD/BB mold that I just received.
I have yet to try it.
I finished chamfering and deburring my 80 338 Lapua cases, and then primed them all.
I loaded another ladder of 223 for my HK SL8 using Hornady 55gr FMJ’s, IMR 8208XBR, and Federal GM205M primers in Lake City Brass.
I have the RCBS media separator.
I fill the bottom with water spin it about 10 times and there’s not a pin left in any size case.
What I like about the RCBS media separator is that it has a cover so water doesn’t splash everywhere.
Made myself a new cover gasket for the Thumlers Tumbler.
I used my chamfering and deburring tool to sharpen up an old 338 Lapua case to cut out the holes.
I don’t know why I waited so long to make a new one.
It cost me a whole $1.50 in material.
I’m surprised since his review was mostly positive.
I really like mine.
I picked it up used for a good deal and I would buy it again.
My only other revolver in 357 Magnum is a 1977 Royal Blue Colt Python.
Even though these 2 revolvers are not exactly in the same zip code when it comes to price I...
Loaded 18 rounds of 45–70 to fill this little case.
Loaded 460S&W with my last 30 200gr Hornady FTX over 49.2gr of H110.
I thought I had another box of the 200 grain FTX, but the box was full of 140 EDM‘s
Loaded another ladder for the HK SL8.
This time using Speer 52gr Varmint Hollowpoint bullets, Ramshot Tac, CCI 400 primers in Federal brass.
I've been having a hell of a time getting this rifle to shoot small groups.
Other people claim it's sub MOA or close to it.
I have to work on Saturday so...
Yup, it's electric. I was checking on inventory searching for some Vihtavuoriu N110 and some Hodgdons H110 that I knew I had stashed somewhere.
They were stored somewhere else.
If I can't buy any primers and I don't have stock it means that my preparations failed.
I try to be prepared.
There are 5K each of BR-2 and BR-4 on top of the Zero Brand bullets.
I think I would start collecting cans and bottles and bring them to the redemption center to pay for my primers before I would spend the effort on reloading them.
Even scrap metal collecting would be a more worthwhile endeavor.
Finished printing the Lee Lead Hardness Tester stand.
Whoever designed it wasn't a genius.
The gear isn't splined on to the rod that turns it so it just freewheels.
It's still usefull the way it is.
Loaded a ladder of .223 to test in my HK SL8
IMR 4166 with Federal brass, CCI 400 and 77gr SMK's...
In the process of 3D printing a microscope stand for my Lee Lead Hardness Tester.
I also woke up early and loaded 50 44 Magnum with 19.9gr of Vihtavuori N110 over a 240gr JSP.
