    AMD 65 value

I have a NIB AMD 65 that I want to put on consignment at a local shop. Any ideas what a fair asking price is for one of these? I have 4 20 round mags to go with it.

    Ruger LCR range report

I just purchased a Ruger LCR to replace an Armscor .38 snubby as my Fall/Winter ccw. I took it to the range this weekend and put 250 rounds through it, and, so far, I'm pretty pleased with the gun. The trigger is on the heavy side, but smooth and I found it easy to adjust to. One of the...

    Ruger Single Six Cylinder Jam

I purchased a Ruger Single Six a while back and have noticed a recurring problem with the .22LR cylinder. Basically, one chamber seems to jam up keeping the cylinder from rotating. If I really clean out the chamber well it gets a little better, but starts jamming up after about 25 rounds or so...

Anyone have a list of American made shotguns?

Mossberg, Ruger, and Ithaca are a few that come to mind.

    Winchester 1892 new production

Well, it sounds like they do make a nice product, but this would be a range gun and more something fun to own than something I need to have. The made in Japan aspect sorta takes the romance outta the deal for me. It's not like I have anything against firearms made outside the US, as I certainly...

    Winchester 1892 new production

Well that probably kills it for me. It it's not made in the US, I don't think I could bring myself to buy one no matter how good it was.

    Winchester 1892 new production

So can anyone tell me about the quality of the new production Model 1892 rifles from Winchester? Saw a 20" barrel model chambered in .357 on the Bud's Gunshop website and it sorta re-ignited my interest. I know a few companies make copies of this design, but I always thought it would be neat to...

Rock island .38 Special revolver, any good?

I have the Armscor M206 snubby and while it won't win any beauty contests, it is a serviceable gun. I replaced the shoddy wooden grips with Pachmayr gripper grips and now enjoy shooting the gun a lot. The gun is cast with minimal finish work and the parkerized finish is just ok. That said, mine...

    Armscor 206 Model Revolver

Well, I like mine. The fit and finish is really rough and the wood grips that it comes with should be replaced immediately. That said, mine has been utterly reliable, accurate, and has a very nice double action trigger pull. I actually use mine for a CCW in the Fall and Winter and have no...

    9mm horribly inaccurate

I'll second the advice about ignoring the dots. I have an American Tactical copy of the M9 that I couldn't shoot consistently with. It drove me nuts until I concentrated on just the profile of the sights and not lining up the dots. I love shooting it now and am quite accurate with it.

    RIA 45 cleaning.

I had never owned a 1911 before I bought my RIA tactical. Youtube videos helped a lot. After learning the steps, it doesn't really take any longer than cleaning my other auto guns. Sweetest shooting gun I own.

Armscor ( API ) AK47/22. Just picked it up.

It's a dressed up version of Armscor's M20P rifle and is a direct blowback. Should be reliable though. I picked up the M20P from centerfire systems and it's less picky about ammo than my 10/22 and pretty accurate.

    Armscor 206 colt grips

I have one and quite like it. Mine was dead accurate out of the box with a nice double action trigger pull that makes it easy to shoot. It won't win any beauty contests, but it has been very reliable and is my ccw in the winter months. I replaced the horrible wood grips with a Pachmayr Gripper...

Lee Classic vs. Press Am I missing something?

I just got into reloading in the last couple of months and I had the same thoughts. In the end I bought a Lee hand press and die sets and am glad I did. I can't imagine having to hammer out each step. I live in an apartment and I can size and prep the cases while watching TV. The TV is...

Should I tell the Fire Department where my guns and reloading equipment is located?

After my own experience with the Seattle Fire Dept. I would say keep it to yourself. Two years ago I had my engine catch fire and of course called the fire dept to put it out. I informed them that I had two cases of shotgun shells in the trunk that I had just purchased from wally world for...

Ever buy a gun just so you could load for it?

So I took my second batch of handloads to the range today and I am having more fun than I imagined possible. I am currently loading .357, but reading about the flexibility of the .44 magnum has me eyeing a Ruger Super Blackhawk at my lgs. So am I alone in my sickness here or has anyone else ever...

    Pulled bullets, now what?

Lets assume I was pulling them due to a problem with the powder charge, no problem with bullet or case. .357 125gr hp bullet.

    Pulled bullets, now what?

First let me don my flame-proof suit. There. Good. As a new reloader, I know it is inevitable that I will have to pull bullets due to a mistake or a load that doesn't work the way I would like in a certain application. I've read quite a bit about pulling the actual bullet but there is one...

First Loads - Am I gonna blow my face off?

Well, I slept on it and made the decision to take the rounds I had loaded to the range and fire them from my GP100 and, after all the build-up, they were a pure pleasure to shoot. Very mild recoil compared to the Remington 125gr JSP that I have been shooting lately. Also, they were much, much...

First Loads - Am I gonna blow my face off?

Thanks for all the replies. I AM very new to this, but am doing my best to be careful and safe. I have a bullet puller, so just to be on the safe side I am gonna use the blue dot another time and hunt around Seattle for one of the more suitable powders you all have suggested.
