I bought a $300 Chinese 56 with no matching serials. Decided to go all out Tapco with it and am very satisfied. One of my cheapest and funnest guns to take to the range.
This is the whole reason I have a home defense weapon, I pray that it will never lead to a situation where I have to use it to defend my familys or my life but on the off chance something one day could happen I remain vigilant. So many people here seem to think a mans reasoning for feeling...
@Sky, I just bought a sks 56 the other day and have the Interfuse stock on the way. I looked the model type up on youtube and there are lots of vids showing about box mag removal as well as some good history on the weapon.
I bought an old Chinese SKS 56 on Saturday and the guy selling it asked me if I wanted it because of the rapture, stating that he himself bought the rifle right before Y2K, lol.
I agree with Shadow, with a quick flash you can identify, disorient and fire. Think about how 150+ lumens would blind an armed intruder. As far as walking around with it on while looking for said intruder that is a far different matter.
