RealGun,
Just FYI, Charter will upgrade your cylinder for free if you so desire. Some might consider it a "downgrade" but if you look at the attached photo of the new extractor, I think you may consider sending it in
This is a painstakingly long review where I impart a lot of extraneous information which many of you may consider useless. For those that don’t want to take the time, the readers digest version is that I highly recommend the Charter Arms Pitbull 9mm. It is a splendidly designed and executed...
I'm hoping this is just some horrible mistake, but I just clicked on a link I got in email to a new gun video review by Hickok45 (my favorite reviewer), and got a message that “this account has been terminated due to repeated violations of google policies” ....photo attached. For action as you...
Forgive me if this is old news, but I just recently became aware of the existence of this movie despite the fact that it enjoyed a (very) limited introduction in 2013. I almost NEVER buy movies, but I may buy this one. It seems that it just now made it to DVD and I am hopeful will be available...

I think its safe to say that all firearms manufacturers have their issues. My only point in starting this thread was to present a more balanced view. Seems like Charter Arms regularly takes a beating on these boards and I think, at times, it leaves an unfair impression. Judging a firearms...
The spring loaded tabs seem very robust to me. I don't have a micrometer, but my best guestimate would be they are about the thickness of a penny, only made of stainless steel. And they only protrude about 1/16 of an inch or so....so there is not much sticking out. I'm attaching a photo to...
Just for the record Frank...I had the exact same firing pin issue you are describing with a ($700) S&W 351PD about two years ago. That is how I found out it is unlawful to mail guns into NYC (sent it back to S&W and then couldn't return it to me)
Anyway I just throw that out there as evidence...
Though I do have a couple of Glocks, I've always considered myself a revolver aficionado. I'd heard of Charter Arms, but honestly, prior to this purchase, I never actually had the opportunity to fondle a Charter Arms revolver. I did an exhaustive amount of internet research on Charter Arms and...
FWIW, I am very disappointed in Streichers. I've called three times over two days after leaving a message with the manager and no one has called me back. I guess they are too busy to deal with a prospective customer
Thanks WNYCOLLECTOR. When I put in my zip code the second dealer that showed up is the one i am using for 75. I can't really blame them I guess., I am in NYC which as I'm sure everyone knows is very gun unfriendly. I can't imagine what the local fees are in NY to be an ffl.
I only WISH I could get it done here for $35.00. The transaction will cost me $75.00 here in NY. In the meantime I have also identified a six available at Ivanhoe in Mass. for $329.00 its rated very good plus...and Streichers hasn't called me back yet. Gonna give them another call and see what...
Thank you so much for your replies ilmonster. I cant believe I stumbled on to this thread when I did. Don't want to bore you with the details, but I have a NYPD Model 10 that I has been on loan to me for a number of years from a retired NYPD friend of mine. Now that his sons have become NYPD...
I can't believe someone resurrected this four year old thread, but since someone did, I thought I would tell you that I SOLD my Seecamp and bought a new NAA PUG in 22WMR to take its place. Though I liked the Seecamp very much....I began to loose confidence in its ability to work reliably after...
