Glock Barrel Length - Accuracy & Energy

I appreciate the reply, but as I said EFK Dragons doesn't make a G36 barrel and only test firing will determine if I made a mistake buying LW over Storm Lake.

Glock Barrel Length - Accuracy & Energy

Wll they certainly would work, except I paid $115 vs $180 for what appears the same barrel. The $180 barrel appears to be longer and ported sightly different. I guess time will tell if I made the right decision. I appreciate your info, thanks.

Glock Barrel Length - Accuracy & Energy

Well its a bit embarrassing, I reload and in the process I must have had a brain fart and double dropped powder load. It could have been worse. Fortunately, the load was light target and result was a bulged barrel. No harm to the firearm, Had to take the Glock 36/45 to Glock authorized gunsmith...

Glock Barrel Length - Accuracy & Energy

I have replaced a damaged original equipment G36 barrel (3.76) length with a Wolf 4.76 ported barrel. The new barrel was drop in ready and extends about 1 inch from front of slide. I'm wondering what to expect from the new barrel concerning accuracy and energy from standard factory ammo. Anyone...

    Customizing AK 47/74 Project

I'm retired and looking for a project that will keep me from tagging along with my Mrs. when she goes shopping. I'm a shooter, (Trap, Skeet. Rifle & Pistol). I'm thinking about acquiring an AK platform, $400-$600 (Saiga, Bulgarian, Yugo, etc?) to start with and continue to improve on. So I'm...

Would anyone buy a taurus .357??

I have a Taurus Tracker (ported 5 1/2" barrel). It's comfortable to hold and shoot full power liads. It's accurate and eats everything I feed it. I like the sites, some may feel its not the quality of a Colt or Ruger. Each to his own, so far 500 rounds--no problems.

    AK -74 5.45 X 39 Self Defense & General Shooting Fun

Appreciate quick reply, got the shotgun (12g pump) for interior safety. It's the exterior that is the most dangerous. I also have a CCW and carry Glock 36.

    AK -74 5.45 X 39 Self Defense & General Shooting Fun

I appreciate your quick reply. No doubt there are more powerful calibers and the .308 would work. But these rifles are more expensive to purchase, heavier and ammo is more expensive. That's why the AK-74 seems more appealing.

    AK -74 5.45 X 39 Self Defense & General Shooting Fun

I'm seriously looking at acquiring a AK-74 (U.S. components) for home defense, I live in Arizona close to border trails used by our southern neighbors. Would feel better owning a semi-auto rifle with more punch that AR. All comments welcome.

    Hand loading for self defense

Handloading for self defense can be a legal problem. Courts and juries may conclude excessive force in the form of bullet or powder charge was unnecessary to stop attack. In which case you the defendent are in serious trouble. Therefore, use ammo manufactured just for the SD purpose.
