I really like the idea of a laser on any gun you might have to use under stress. I also wouldn't be comfortable messing with 3 types of rounds under stress either. YMMV
A 590 in 20" is on my short list. I'm likely going to go for a speedfeed stock over a sidesaddle though.
Shoot half of what I buy at a time, then rebuy
After I shoot half the quantity I buy at one time I rebuy.
So every time I shoot 500 .40 S&W I buy 1000
50 and 100 for my .338mx
500 and 1000 for the .22LR
With the new 5.56mm it'll probably be 250 and 500 or 500 and 1000 (depending on if LC...
Kept my money during the year
I opt to keep my money in my pocket rather than lending it to the government interest free.
So I already bought my guns with the money. A Mini 14 and earlier this year I got me an XDM .40 4.5" and I got me a Marlin Papoose and I got me a SPR 18 in 7.62x39...
Out of those 3 I'd go with the .25-06 or .270 and it would come down to if you are the type to buy alot of ammo online once in a while (200+ rounds at a time) or if you are the type to go buy a few boxes each time you go out.
Was rained out on Friday night. But I did get to go put a few rounds through this morning.
After 15 insertions each my mags are starting to show a little wear on the hole in front where they lock in. They fed fine, though I only put 3 rounds at a time in.
Once I figure out what ammo this...
My magazines appear to be Gen I. They don't have any of the issues that Nutnfancy had with his though(slow feeding and wobble). We'll see how they wear. Gonna go shoot a bunch of 3 shot strings as I break in the barrel. So we'll see how they wear after 25 insertions and ejections. I'll do some...
Just recieved some new mags
I just recieved some new Tapco Mini-14 .223 mags yesterday. I'll try to find out if they are Generation II today and when I go shooting after work I'll let you know how they work in my 581 series. Not sure how older ones work in it as I just got it and have only used...
Congrats.
I just received my new Mini-14 this week. I went for the laminated stock exclusive from Davidson's. Wish I had gotten that good of deal.
Only shot 15 rounds out of mine so far.

Micheal Smerconish has a poll up today on whether we need as a nation to revisit the question of semi-automatic weapons. I think we do. Only because I think even in the face of current events we are in a more supportive environment than we have been in years.
