    Century Arms AK Round Exploded

I had a Century WASR10 that was the biggest piece of junk of any firearm I have ever owned. It would misfeed, pierce primers and had terrible trigger slap. I will never buy another Century gun after that experience. I have had a couple of Saigas and they run flawlessly as an AK should!

Over 8 months for ATF paperwork!

That link is from silencershop, the highest volume suppressor shop in the country, and it's updated on a daily basis.

Over 8 months for ATF paperwork!

What you are seeing on that graph is paper vs. e-form filing, which has nothing to do with the item being registered to a trust vs. individual. Read the stats again on the link that I provided, the difference for submitting via paper to register to a trust vs. an individual is about 3 months...

    AR - Dead Reliable?

I have owned a Romanian and Saiga AK. The Romanian was a total piece of crap with a lot of trigger slap and issues with piercing primers and jamming, I ended up selling for a loss just to get rid of it. The Saiga was much better and never malfunctioned and was fairly accurate. My first AR15...

    Ruger LCR + P .38 Special Recoil

Who said the only good thing is the low weight? I enjoy my LCR for a number of reasons, to name a few: it's compact (more so than a glock), accurate, rock-solid reliable, lightweight (more so than a glock), will shoot any jacketed, lead, plated, etc without issue (lead is not recommended in...

    1911 Guidance (I BEEN BIT!)

I use Tripp Research magazines which have a hybrid polymer/metal follower(they are metal where the slide-stop engages the follower). This gives you the best of both worlds. I'll cast another vote for a Springfield 1911 as i really enjoy mine!

What is the worst pistol you have ever shot? For me it was a Jimenez Arms JA Nine...

Although many people seem to like them, the worst gun I've ever shot was a Bersa Thunder .380. It was crudely made, jammed quite often, had terrible ergonomics and a trigger pull to match.

    Ruger LCR + P .38 Special Recoil

The tritium sight, boot grip and .357 LCR are all fairly new options. I will probably eventually swap my front sight for the tritium and call it done. The tritium and laser combo would be nice if somebody doesn't mind the ergos of the laser grip.

    Ruger LCR + P .38 Special Recoil

Actually, Ruger does offer the LCR with a tritium night sight from the factory now as seen here http://ruger.com/products/lcr/models.html

How hard does a Colt Combat .25 Hit?

FWIW, My pellet gun is also able to shoot through a water jug.

    Ruger LCR + P .38 Special Recoil

I have the standard sights and the factory hogue tamer grip. I'm not a fan of how the grip feels on the laser model. I also installed a hogue tamer on my super redhawk .44 magnum and I must say this grip makes any gun more enjoyable to shoot.

    Sig Mosquito question

I agree with the suggestion to run about 500 rounds of mini mags through it then start trying some bulk ammo. My wife has the sig mosquito and it runs flawlessly with mini mags and after about 500 rounds it runs about 99% reliably with federal buik ammo from walmart. Her mosquito actually came...

    1911 Frames: Steel vs. Aluminum

I have the exact model Springfield loaded lightweight that you are asking about and I previously owned an all steel 1911. First, let me clear something up that nobody has mentioned yet... the Springfield lightweight DOES have a steel feed ramp that is part of the barrel so there is no potential...

    Ruger LCR + P .38 Special Recoil

I honestly don't notice much difference between +P and standard loads in my LCR. I have shot 100 round boxes of +P in one session without issue. As somebody mentioned though, you will need to try one yourself as recoil is subjective. I find the LCR to be a very enjoyable gun to shoot.

What use for spent steel cases?

Even before tumbling was the common method of cleaning, there were other methods of cleaning... even if something as simple as wiping the cases off with a rag and tapping them against a table to loosen any dirt that might be inside. A majority of the time, my revolver casings honestly could be...

What use for spent steel cases?

The main purpose of tumbling is to clean powder residue, dirt, etc. off the cases to ensure they run smoothly through reloading dies and your gun, if they end up shiny that is just a bonus.

So apparently I suck at reloading already. Problems decapping military crimped brass

One shot is great for lubing moving parts on the press, it is not so great as a case lube. I have a bottle of frankford arsenal case lube that I've been using for years and have never had a problem with stuck cases. I would suggest just putting the bottlenecked cartridges to the side for now...

What use for spent steel cases?

The reason many steel cases are non-reloadable is that they are Berdan primed. Also steel cases generally have a lacquer or polymer coating that aids in rust prevention and chambering that can wear off if you tumble the cases.

So apparently I suck at reloading already. Problems decapping military crimped brass

My guess would be that either the brass is Berdan primed, the flash hole is really off center, or the nut/bolt thing that holds the decapping pin is not tightened down enough. I have decapped thousands of pieces of military brass without issue. Is that the only piece of brass you've tried...
