After 8 months and 3 weeks, the paperwork from ATF on my .45 suppressor came in.
It’s an AAC. Good thing I took the XD45 with me, because it came with the thread adapter for the M&P / Glock. The Lone Wolf barrel uses a completely different thread. The dealer had the right one, so no problem.
I’ll try it out after supper.

Only 8 months!? That's awesome! It's been over 10 months for a while now. Enjoy your Ti-Rant, those things are super-quiet!

Already having the trust set up might have helped.
Still, it would be nice if they could do it while we can remember what we've bought.

Trust has no impact on the time as far as I can tell. Very little time is spent processing the applications; it is mostly backlog.

I had three that ran 11 months (near the peak).

According to the information on http://www.silencershop.com/support/atf-wait-times/ Trusts are processing about 3 months faster than individual at this point.
Less than 2 months and rapidly converging.

What you are seeing on that graph is paper vs. e-form filing, which has nothing to do with the item being registered to a trust vs. individual. Read the stats again on the link that I provided, the difference for submitting via paper to register to a trust vs. an individual is about 3 months right now.

I bought a tirant in September i sure hope I'm as lucky as you. What state are you in?

I misread your question. I see what they posted but have no idea how up to date it is or the sample size.
I'll look at the NFA Tracker data in more detail later. Camping this weekend.

That link is from silencershop, the highest volume suppressor shop in the country, and it's updated on a daily basis.

I still see nothing about sample size. They do a huge volume of Form 3s to Dealers but only do Form 4s for TX residents (and the designated Texas examiner(s))--hardly a representative sample.

NFA Tracker's database is showing a small gap for about 4-5 months that peaked at about a 2 week difference.

Just looking at TX paper forms with checks cashed in 2013 and 2014 by examiner, I was wondering if trust vs. individual were going to different examiners. Instead I found that Individual applications are very rare in TX (<5%) and there is probably a lot of uncertainty in the TX sample.

great setup japle. And pretty good time too. My buddy just got his paperwork back. Took 11.5 months for a trust, aaaaaand the ffl forgot to sign the form so he was denied. He was so mad.

This sounds fishy to me. Usually when mistakes like this happen, the ATF sends the paperwork back to the dealer to be corrected. It usually only adds a few weeks to the overall wait.

I don't know all the details, but I do know that the dealer said it should only take 4-6 weeks to get corrected. But when you wait forever and then it is something stupid that takes even longer it's irritating. Like when you drive 6 hours to a friend's house and you wife waits will the car is stopped to put her shoes back on and you stand there beside the car waiting thinking "what was she doing the past 6 hours that she couldn't plan ahead...?!?!" trivial, but frustrating.

Ha, yeah, good analogy there, my wife does stuff like that.

Sorry, when you said he was denied, I thought you meant the ATF flat-out denied his paperwork. But it looks like it was just a typical correction. 4 - 6 weeks seems a lot longer than normal, but the SOT probably just played it safe and overestimated the extra wait. It probably didn't add more than a few weeks to his wait unless they took their sweet time correcting it.

Just got my stamp in 9/14/13 sent in approved on 5/14/14 picked up on 5/20/14 not great but they are improving

I had four Form 4s submitted via eForms in January, two on 1/15 and two on 1/27. My dealer called today to tell me that after calling the ATF he was told that it'll most likely be July before I receive the stamps. That would put my wait at around six months. Hopefully they follow the "under promise and over deliver" philosophy.

Govt. at its worst. I wonder how many other branches are run this badly?

Just received my Ingram M6 de-watt. I tried to save some time applying on a form 4 july of last year. In April it was denied, stating it had to first transfer on a form 5 and then apply on a form 1. The form 5 was then approved on May 1 and I just got the weapon today. The form 1 was shipped about 5 days ago and it went to a different address to be process quickly as they kept my $200 check and fingerprint cards. We will see. So while I have it, as of right now I can't make it active.

My dealer informed me that he received two of my stamps (pdf files) yesterday. The eForms for those two were submitted on 1/27 and approved on 6/10 so that's 135 days or very close to 4-1/2 months. The other two submitted almost two weeks earlier i.e. 1/15 haven't been approved yet.
