I'm sure it's old news by now about the G30S, but how silly is it that Glock claims their engineers developed a slimmer slide Glock 30?
People have been doing it for years. Even before the SF version came out.
Next, they will take Pearce's idea and claim they "re-engineered" the magazines
I'm pretty new to blades so I'm hoping someone here could school me on what "Full Tang" really means.
Here's the scoop on where I'm lost. I purchased the SOG Jungle Warrior and removed the rubber handle that covers the grip. That's when I discovered that there is a lot less metal in the grip...
For instance, the LCP and the LC9. Why can't they be the same height but maybe a bit longer to cater to the longer, but not wider, round?
What am I missing?
I think that even at $499, they are still over priced for a product that's been running through an assembly line for 3 decades with minor cosmetic changes.
But you gotta admire the cult following of Glocks. Used Glocks are selling for over $500 when new go for less
All fairness to S&W, Glock charges about $400 to LEO and upwards of $600 for civilians. M&P's are sold fairly cheap and does not raise the price for civilians by about another $200 or so. I say that because all us Glock owners know that Glocks are way over priced for the same gun that's been...
Just curious as to what competition shooters look for in a semi auto pistol.
I've shot a decent range of pistols. Not sure which I would like to use when getting into the shooting sport. Do you look for:
Trigger feel
Egronomics
Low Bore Axis
I'm guessing is a combination of these in...
Really?
All thing being equal, they are all equally accurate. The only difference would be in the weight of the slide.
The same energy (in a perfect world) of the round being fired would act differently against the differently weighted slides.
The sig and xd's are great shooters. I think they are great for beginning shooter because the trigger is smoother then some other poly frame pistols out there. I've shot both but own a Glock.
They both have noticeably taller slides then that of a Glock. Let me rephrase, the slides sit higher...
I also carry the sub-c Glock when hiking/backpacking but the 40 cal.
If its animals you need to fend off, I feel a tad bit better with the extra UMPH of the 40
If I miss my first shot, I'm hoping the much louder BANG will scare off the more sound sensitive four legged critters
10mm is no substitute for a .44 mag and neither in the 40 super, but the 40 super does come a lot closer.
Shooting 10mm out of a Glock 21 requires a barrel + 10 mm mag(s) + the possible issue of having a larger breach face on a Glock 21.
Shooting 40 super would require just a barrel and...
Like Bobson said "Trigger weight is strictly a matter of personal preference."
I have a strong grip strength so a 10lbs trigger pull is fine for me to shoot accurately, UNTIL I'm up to the 2nd box of 50 round ammo. Than muscle fatigue kicks in at that weight.
I can shoot 300 rounds with a...
Speak to boxers and martial artists. The "grip angle", whether you have a gun in your hand or bare fist offers the greatest wrist support by lining up you pointer and middle finger metacarpals.
But everyone has their own preference, like sidewayz gansta style.
The process did take off the teniffer, but teniffer is overrated. My pistols are not being dragged through salt water marshes. So far so good, plus I had some "black oxided" again.
Where did I get it done? My livingroom.
