ok i'll try seating them deeper, maybe it will be just enough to cure the powder blowback on the side of the casing. I dont think the casing is quite expanding enough to seal around the chamber.

I thought Min OAL was 1.23? If ur running at 1.200 with the same charge or a hair more, maybe I'm still under pressure and that's why I'm getting blowback? My primers are fairly flat and it does recoil more than my 230g LRN that I shoot. Any suggestions?

Sounds like you got yourself a good load. What oal did you choose? I usually use 1.256 on my mbc 230g RN. But I'm going to have to adjust that for the hollow points I assume. Looks like I'll be getting my bullets tomorrow, so I may be able to make it out Sunday to do the testing. I'm wondering...

Whats the powder charge MIN-MAX for the 185g XTP using W231? cant seem to find it anywhere.

Yes I remember when it happened. Sometimes media gets stuck between the primer bar and ram on the down stroke while trying to seat the primer. It will bind up and if you back off a little and try to seat again it will somehow flip the primer and seat it upside down.
