    Should I upgrade the 550b

650 on a Dillon strong mount, 550 on the Inline Fab mount (quick change) Yeah, the 650 would be a pain to swap out.

    Should I upgrade the 550b

I started with an RL550B, and added an XL650 a short while later. I set it up and tried it out, but eventually out it back in its box for a couple of years because the 550 fit my needs better. Lack of bench space is what drove that decision, and then I learned about the quick change mount from...

Where are reloading components available (Not a Discussion Thread)

Midway - CCI Primers w/free shipping and no hazmat. Ends at midnight. Saw this on another forum and wanted to pass along.

Where are reloading components available (Not a Discussion Thread)

Ran through my first case of 5000 SPP, and halfway through the second. No issues, just a few ruined primers from trying to hurry and not pay attention. They all go bang, and they all worked well with my various loads.

Dillon sizing and crimp dies, Redding competition seating die. 1.130" / 0.378" I use Unique for my favorite load.

    range brass-9mm?

I have found some Freedom Munitions "brass" which was actually a magnetic metal of sorts with a nice shiny brass plating on them. The headstamp is "FM" and some are magnetic, some are not. These are about as much fun to locate as .45ACP with SPP. For general plinking, I'll load up mixed...

    S&B primers

4000+ SPP for me with no issues, and they work fine through vibraprime.

    New RCBS ChargeMaster 1500 Combo

Great combination. I have used mine for load development, as well as for regular loading. I rarely use my Dillon beam scale these days.

    S&B Pistol primers any good?

S&B pistol primers are GOOD! I've had excellent performance, and the primers also work just fine with VibraPrime, too, unlike my last box of WSP.

Lemi Shine: Which kind for SS wet tumbling?

I use the Lemishine that looks like sugar or salt. Not sure which version of LS it is, but here are the numbers for my loads: 1 gal H2O 5 lbs SS pins 5 lbs brass 3 tbsp Armor All wash n wax 1/4 tsp Lemishine 2 hrs for previously cleaned brass, 3 hrs if dirty range pickup is included If you...

Add Speer to the Small Primer 45ACP List

Too many LPP cases in my inventory to give up on that configuration. I'm not a fan of SPP cases, since my setup for .45ACP on my Dillon 550 generally gets setup after I've loaded 10mm, which is also LPP. I save the SPP cases for trades, or for lost brass matches. No love lost if I can't...

    Dillon 550 Primer Feed Issue

The two screws on the bottom should only be finger tight. I had the same issues, called Dillon, and the tech told about that. I used the spare plate from the parts kit, and Dillon sent me a new one to put back as a ready spare. My original plate had some bad gouges and marks from being over...

Where are reloading components available (Not a Discussion Thread)

Just ordered some, along with some S&B SPP, and hazmat came out to about $1.50 per lb and per 1,000 primers. Should be good for a while now. Can't locate large bottles of Blue Dot, so N350, Longshot and No. 9 will be my slower powders for now. I use these for 10mm and .357SIG.

    Dillon 45 acp

Send it back to Dillon. I had issues with a .357SIG die scratching the crap out of my brass. Got an RMA number and shipped it back for repair. New die came back about a week later. Send them some sample brass when you mail it back so they can see what's going on. -BB

    Dillon 550B Setup Questions

I have used corn cob, corn cob with cut-up dryer sheets, and corn cob with NuFinish. Then, I switched over to a Hornady ultrasonic cleaner. After reading about stainless pin/wet tumbling, I've switched over to that method exclusively. Yes, it takes a little while longer to prep the brass...

I need a suggestion for Blue dot replacement

AA #9, VV N350 come to mind. If you're needing volume, I think the #9 will be the one to go with for your loads. I like Blue Dot for my .357SIG and 10mm loads, and haven't seen any available in a long time. Same goes for #9. the N350 was available in 1lb an 4lb jugs recently, but those...

RCBS 7 station Press, How to use the stations?

The bullet feeder setup #2 listed above will add to the improved experience. Not knocking the 650 at all, as I am aware of the aftermarket bullet feeder options. However, I would like to get a complete setup from the same manufacturer to use as a dedicated system for my 9x19 loads.
