    Trouble with my Sig 229

Thanks Keith. I'll give that a try. My friend Justin used the Sig 226 in the service (SEAL, real one, honest) and he recommended loosening the grip screws a quarter turn and throwing a little loctite on them. Pretty sure that's gonna work. Thanks again! ,Steve

    Enter the good guy(gun fiction)

My favorite scene in any action movie- Everything has gone straight to hell in a handcart. No other option but to die. BANG! Pan to the guy/girl nobody thought could possibly wield a gun, shaking like a leaf, because he/she has no training, and is scared to death. There's your hero...

XS standards on Sig pistols; bueno or no bueno?

Steve here, Want to look into the XS lollipop sights as a tritium option for my Sig 229. I have concerns that the standard set will hurt overall precision at range. I bought this pistol to be a concealable tack driver (it is). WAY nervous about swapping sights, even though I want bar-dot, and...

    Trouble with my Sig 229

Hi guys, I've had a great time with my .357 Sig 229, except for one minor problem. about 25% of the time I slap a fresh magazine into her at the range, the mag binds at the release latch. I've trained myself to guide the mag in with pressure only on the right side of the buttplate, as this...

    Why all the Glock hate?

Sure, they're not very attractive, but they're designed to do an ugly job. I for one won't hold that against them. But then, I've been described as 'aesthetically challenged.' :p

    crooked glock barrel.

It's common, and perfectly normal. These guys can explain it better than I can, but it's inherent to the way the action works.

    Why all the Glock hate?

I carried a Glock 23 for quite a while (like 7-8 years) before venturing into other pistols. It never let me down, and I got pretty proficient with it. Not fancy, just worked when I needed it to, and inspired confidence by virtue of it's reliability. I've since spent some bucks on a Sig 229...

What kind of pants do you people wear?

Dickie's double knee work pant (with exclusive cellphone pocket!!). Big, fat, close together belt loops, and utility casual without being uncomfortable. With a good belt, my SIG 229 just ceases to exist (Tucker's Answer might help a little with that, though). :) Leave it to a gear-queer like...

I need user opinions on Sig 229

To answer your question... Love it, Love it, Love it! My SIG 229 (.357SIG) is easily the finest handgun I've ever owned. Expensive to feed, but worth every penny.

    Sig 229 Tritium Sight Conundrum!!

Hi guys, I want to replace my standard bar-dot sights that my Sig came with. I want a tritium version of the exact same thing that's easy to spot for daylight shooting. What are my options?? I just can't seem to find a decent tritium bar-dot set for this pistol!! :banghead: Thanks in...

    Best "small" personal light?

I'm gonna put this link down... www.candlepowerforums.com It's your bankruptcy for following it... I carry as EDC a little pocket rocket built by a guy there. It's called the 'Lionheart." You get like 85 lumens for 90 minutes out of a light slightly bigger than your thumb, and it has a...
