I'm trying to find ANY information or pictures on a Springfield micro compact 1911, it's stainless steel, 3" barrel, small under barrel picatinny rail, and "SS" for stainless steel frame, stamped onto the trigger guard under the ejection port (right hand model). I think it was made before 2002...
I've had an SR9 for about 2 years now, probably put about 1000+ round through it and have never had any real problems. Yes, the trigger does have some roughness at first, but the more i've shot it the better it's gotten. Ghost inc. also make a replacement trigger connector for a reasonable...
Well not so much a problem, more of an annoyance. My Load All leaks powder from the charge bar all the time. I've heard of this problem with these presses. But has anyone found a cheap fix for them yet? I use Longshot powder if that's any help.
I use unique as well for most of my pistol reloads. It seems to be a bit finicky for me as I will get inconsistent charges in some of my powder measures. What powder measure do you use? Did you notice any unburnt powder? It could possibly even be a "weak" primer.
Just got back from a gun show where I got a fairly good deal on some 185 gr LSWC .45 ACP bullets. Now i've loaded plenty of JRN .45's but never really messed with lead. I was just looking for some opinions on what to set the crimp at.
I really want one, but the wait is getting ridiculous. And I can guarantee there will be some serious price gouging at the gun shops in my area who would carry this.
Ya, this is a pot my buddies and I went in on for a first run at casting, it's just been sitting around for awhile now and now that I got this 00 mold I decided to fire it up, but long story short, when we started we did use some dirty lead. Looks like my project tomorrow is to drain and clean it.
I was attempting to cast some 00 buck a bit ago. And the lead spout on my Production Pot is quite plugged up. It does not pour smoothly at all, so I get terrible looking 00. Anybody have any suggestions on how to unplug it? I used to just poke a wire up there and it would usually clear up...
Tried it before with terrible results, horrible leading. The mixture may have been a bit off though. I have heard never to shoot lead out of a polygonal barrel.
