Need help trying to find pictures/info on a 1911

I'm trying to find ANY information or pictures on a Springfield micro compact 1911, it's stainless steel, 3" barrel, small under barrel picatinny rail, and "SS" for stainless steel frame, stamped onto the trigger guard under the ejection port (right hand model). I think it was made before 2002. My buddy has this gun and has been able to find no information on it. There's a lot of aluminum alloy that look like it, but this is full stainless. The biggest difference is the "SS" stamped into the frame. It is all stainless, not bi tone. Any help would be appreciated.

If this is an out of production gun the owner should contact Springfield and request an owner's manual. Also check their website, they may have a downloadable manual specific to his pistol.

Agreed, Springfield customer service should have all the details on such a new gun.

Load this PDF and go to page 27 for a schematic and parts list... that's all I can find, other than this "tactical tim" thing.

Call or email Springfield Armory with the S/N. They'll be able to tell you more about it.
