I'm looking to build or buy a new AR15. I keep seeing manufacturers claim their ARs are "mil spec". Where can I find the true military specifications?... or, which mfr's really ARE mil-spec? I'm upgrading and don't want to fool around with "Jim Bob's gun company". Thanks!
I know that the old Black Talon pistol ammo died about a dozen years ago, and that Winchester (and perhaps others) still offers a teflon-coated pistol round... But does anyone know if there exists a teflon-coated round in .223 or 5.56?
I'm doing some research on flip-up sights for the AR. Upon thumbing through the latest CTD catalog, I see tons of options. I'm not looking to have to sell the dog and the wife to get a good set, but I don't want a cheap set that I end up pitching into the woods either. Anyone have any thoughts?
Historically, I'm a handgun guy. But just bought a flat top AR-15, and added a decent red dot. Here's my issue, and it may sound retarded to you AR veterans: I want to add battle sights too, but am not sure how they marry together on the rail. Would I sight the battle sights THROUGH the red...
Hey, I'm considering the Savage 220 for my next deer gun. However, I'm hearing about issues regarding the ejected shells hitting the scope... and needing a special scope mount from Evolution Gun Works. Does anyone know anything about this?
