Insulation Thank you for the great suggestions guys! This is a work in progress but your suggestions are going to be implemented! BTW LouisianaJoe, I went to NOLA in 2009 to watch the Utes beat the Crimson Tide in the Sugar Bowl (my son was on the Ute team). It was my first time in your neck...

My new reloading "room" We're moving to our own property (finally!) but the house does not have a place to reload. So I bought a tool trailer that was originally made to be a portable motorcycle repair station (to take to races I assume) and I want to repurpose it to a reloading room. It has a...

What is the last gun that you bought?

To JS1911 I bought a Winchester Model 94 chambered in .44 magnum to compliment my .44 Blackhawk. It's a lovely lever action rifle, IMHO.

re I don't think I want to give my money to Walmart. I have found I can get decent prices online from Midway, Powder Valley, Missouri Bullet Company and Rocky Mountain Reloading for everything I need.

ammo exposure to extreme heat/ temperature changes

nope This spring I found some ammo I reloaded back in 1994. For the last twelve years it was stored in a shed where summer temperatures consistently get over 100 and winter temps get well below freezing (Moab, Utah). It shot fine.

Can target shooting start a fire?

I live in southern Utah (Moab). 200+ miles north of here is a wildfire that is threatening homes and sent one firefighter to the hospital so far. The news is calling it the Dump Fire and claiming it was started by target shooter. Do you think this could happen? I know cases are hot but enough to...

    Storing bulk bulletts

I think somebody else posted this idea but I cleaned out and cut off the plastic label to a parmesan cheese container. They are pretty strong and held exactly 500 copper plated 115 gr 9mm bullets. You flip open the larger hole and shake out what you need.

    44 magnum primers

Craig, why resist using magnum primers with 2400? Specifically a 158 grain JFP over 13 grains of 2400 in .357 magnum with a CCI 550 primer, to be shot in a lever action rifle. Please don't tell me I need to pull a bunch of bullets...

    Cheap online powders

The town I live in doesn't have any businesses that sell smokeless powders and the nearest city that does (Cabela's in Grand Junction, Colo.) is almost 2 hours away. I would like to order kegs of 2400 and Unique online. The cheapest I have found is Sinclair (www.sinclairintl.com) which is...

    Linotype and foundry type lead.

My family owns a print shop that, many years ago, used to use linotype lead to print a newspaper. The linotype was used for the body of the news stories and then remelted into large bars (called pigs) that would go back into the linotype machine. For headlines in the news stories, though...
