    I've a new (to me): 44 magnum revolver, 6" barrel, square grip, six shot, adjustable sight, s/n N7258xx, model 29-2, nickel plated, I'm curious to know an approximate date for it. Thanks fort the effort! You're doing a lot of good work with this thread, every day.

    That is patently false info. Of course you can reload .38 Spl that has been fired in a .357 mag.

    I don't know why Murphy's Oil Soap wouldn't work for the stocks. It's made for wood, and people have been using it to clean their nicely finished tobacco pipes for ages.

    If I didn't reload, I would not be able to shoot many of my handguns or my 30.06 with any regularity at all...it would be .22lr for me, period, end of story.

    Confirming this model 64-5 came along after 1977? .38 special 4" bbl model 64-5 BUF12** Stainless Steel LE trade in with a bobbed hammer. Trying to work up a +P load for it. Thanks for your effort!
