Who said the sights had to be modified jerkface11? What was said was Coonan offers sight upgrades.
Dnaltrop why would there be a 99% chance of lighting up a child or mother-in-law? and what's the point on the military invasion? Neither makes any sense.
mgmorden I would know the options on a Mercedes before I purchased one.
Many experienced shooters also like rails. I always keep an open mind as to the backgrounds of experienced shooters.
As you know sight upgrades are available from Coonan, the rail could of as well for those willing to...
I don’t need to quote others and annotate in my post. I see a lot of that in these forums.
I'm a Traditionalist as well and tend not to look the other way. For the price of the gun it would have been a nice option to have, even though you may only use it in a limited capacity. If you don't...
Coonan .357 Auto
Nice pistol but you would think for a gun at that cost it would have an equipment rail underneath. How much more would that have cost in the original tooling? It would have put it up with the times.
I was ready to purchase one until I saw it didn't.
I started this topic and thanks to all who shared their experiences and opinions. I was a solid shooter when I was a younger man and bought/traded all kinds of guns with my fellow Agents...fun times and the camaraderie I will never forget. I had a great opportunity to be with an Agency, (USBP)...
Ben,
Yes, white nail polish fixed it right up. As far as recoil compared to Glock? about the same but the grip on the M&P fit my hand so naturally that I found shot control to be easier. The Glock is still an ICON.
Hello,
Range report on new M&P;
Ammo:
Magtech 115 FMJ
BPLE 115 +P+ JHP
Winchester Ranger 124 NATO FMJ
Speer Gold Dot 124 GDHP
Pistol functioned flawlessly and until my new glasses come in a respectful showing on my part at 7 to 25 yards, all printing where they should be. The only...
Thanks and nice post Cloudwraith!!
Yeah it felt better right off the bat me too. Glock offers the backstrap on the Gen 4's and M&P made it standard so leads me to believe the grip fit was always a gripe. Both are superb pistols and i'll never run a Glock down. It just came down to the grip...
Thanks again to all. I purchased the M&P 9mm yesterday and it was manufactured in July of this year. Overall it was the way the pistol felt in my hand, the sights coupled with all of the super reviews from in here. Like I mentioned before I carried a Glock 17 in the early 90's with USBP. I liked...
Thanks to all for the candid reviews I really appreciate it. I'm retired now from USBP so now I can choose what feels the best for me and the S&W fits the bill. Other than the fit of the Glock for me it is a mighty fine pistol!! I am proud that I served in an Agency that had a solid firearms...
Thanks legion. I carried a Glock in the early 90's with USBP but have not had a chance to shoot the M&P. The Niagara Falls area has very limited ranges and none of those in stock to shoot.
Hello,
I am requesting some experienced input on the two guns before I decide which to buy. I like the full size M&P model with no external nor magazine safety. The S&W grip feels better to me. I will carry concealed as well.
How do they add up when compared?
Thanks all,
Be safe,
Tom
jmr40 a cheap shot on the Stevens. A box or two a year?? On the back of what brand of cereal are you getting that information from?
They are American made sturdy doubles within one's budget and still out there to find. With a little work they can be tuned just fine. If if have the means then...
