My dad has a winchester model 1897 12 ga shotgun. The only numbers i see is on the bottom of the reciever. ( D 4127 ) it does have a number on the end of the stock ( 77 9 ). I know these were produced in 1897 to 1957, any information you could tell me about this gun would be great! Thanks...
