Kershaw is a definite bang for the buck knife. I've been evaluating one for a few months now and am fairly well impressed. I think they're a very good value today.
There's roughly 4 million different "flavor of the week" Tacticals out there that can run up in to the thousands of dollars apiece. A Benchmade Stryker is an excellent choice or an AFCK, or a Spyderco Military..... It all comes down to personal choice as long as you're buying reputable...
I had the exact same situation when I got my old model single six. It had the magnum cylinder in it but it is unmarked so I ASSumed that it was a LR cylinder and went ahead and shot. The sound was wrong so I new something was up. When I extracted the empties the cases were all split up the...
Stephen as always is right. My BHP is from about ten years ago and will feed anything you shove in it and the accuracy is definitely above average. My Hi Power is definitely a keeper in my collection.
For general use the Ruger has to get the nod. The Browning does work well, but the Ruger works better. The Walther is indeed a nice pistol, but the Ruger has a track record that cannot be beat and at a lower price. The little guns like the Beretta, SMC,etc are a completely different league...
The best cure for recoil sensitivity is shooting. Build up the power level slowly. With enough volume she'll be wanting more magnums and then she'll be a better shooter armed with more effective ammo. As an aside you'll get to go to the range more too.:D
Another great thing about the .22 version is that they have adjustable sights. I believe the .32mag one does too. SP-101 is one of my favorite guns, a .22 and a .32 is on the list.
I sell a lot of items through there, and they are a good place to shop. Unfortunately you do find some outrageous prices at times. A couple of reasons are that
(1) the listings are free so a lot of people tend to just list things high looking for suckers.
(2) Some folks thought they...
I got very lucky recently. There are some subparagraphs and appendices :banghead: that allow a bunch of guns to be purchased that aren't on the list.
My new Ruger .44 bisley is not on the list, but because it's a Single Action pistol that is over 7.5" total length it gets a waiver. Who...
I've had several BLackhawks and just bought a Bisley that I'm in the middle of a waiting period for :banghead: I was gonna pick up a Vaquero when I was thinking of getting into Cowboy shooting, but it passed and so did the Vaquero. I don't have much use for the Vaquero as I much prefer a high...
I love my Old Army. I've only shot roundball with it though. I will be trying the conicals as soon as I find some. Th eSabot is an interesting idea, but I'd think it'd be pretty tough to fit them in under the ram.
Cleanup is really quite easy once you get the hang of it. I've got a...
I love my SP-101. Mine is a .357 and I really like shooting it which is certainly not the way I've felt about previous snubbies I've owned. I had a S&W 442 in .38spl before and I sure didn't like shooting it. The Ruger grip and extra weight makes all the difference in the world. Since the...
I bought a PPK/s a few years ago in .32acp just for the James Bond factor, it even has 007 as the first part of the serial number. I fully expected it to be a jam-a-matic, but it has surprised me and has yet to jam after over two thousand rounds. I liked the pistol so much, that I actually...
My vote has to go with the Browning Hi-Power. It fits my hand perfectly and I can shoot it very well. I'll always prefer the wheel gun but the BHP is it for semi autos. I've been quite impressed with my exposure to the Beretta in the service, it was totaly reliable even when mistreated.
Six Rugers currently, one on the way, and I think I've sold three more over the years. Ruger is a good solid product that won't disapoint. Whoever told you otherwise didn't have much experience.
