I took a piece of 5/8s round bar and made my own short ergonomic roller handle. Works great, I resize everything with it, 223, 204, 22-250, 45acp, 380acp. Works great.
I keep one of my ARs under the seat. Plum crazy lower, with a carbon fiber hand guard. Don't mind leaving it in the truck year round. Only part that can really rust is the barrel.
I've bought upper receivers from surplusammo.com. I've been very happy with them, most all other parts I've used came from joeboboutfitters or midwayusa.
Be carefully, it's an addiction. I build my first one a year ago and look what I've done.
I too am a brassaholic. I find When I'm shooting ARs that I'm more concerned about where my brass is going than my bullets are going. Doesn't happen often but when I do shoot at a range I spend more time searching for brass than shooting.
It's pathetic
You'll get used to it. I have found when loading 223 and extruded powder, you have to delay at the top to make sure the powder has enough time to flow. Its then when I am grabbing my next bullet first then a case. Because it is easier to set the case in the shell holder using odd fingers than it...
I have only had my lnl ap for a couple months but have put a couple thousands rounds of 223 and at least 500 204s. I guess I have no major complaints, my shell plate wouldn't stay tight, tried a star washer, still got lose. Finally used some temporary lock tight and that did the trick.
As for...
Alright here it is. I made 4 small shims out of some aluminum I had measuring .15 inches. I stuck them under my lock n load socket and I used a bullet seating die to seat a bullet in each press without changing the die and got them within .002 of each other. One COAL ended up at 2.25 and the...
No, i don't remember seeing it in the video either. I think they added it to the kit after the fact. I also marked my rode so I have a reference when I'm nearing 100.
I love my lock n load ap. loved it so much I bought the lock n load classic press. I then calibrated the two together by making some shimes and now I can drop a due in either press using the lock n load bushing and no more die setting. I'm sure the Dillion is great, but if cost is a...
I love my hornady, I've only had it a couple weeks but have loaded around 1000 rds with it. I did adjust the paws a hair, and ran a dremel on the plate the primer system slides on. Other than that its workin great.
I know plenty of people with dillion presses that have all the same...
Just got my Lock N Load press last week and already I've had to add to it.
first time uploading pictures, hope it works.
first thing I did was made a roller handle.
second thing I did was add a mechanical counter, clicks on the downstroke.
third, JB welded a small LED...
