After carrying autos for most of my life, I finally picked up a charter arms bulldog in 44 spc. I use cowboy loads in it. a friend of mine gave me some rounds from Bufflo arms(I think). wadcutters inverted. Leaves one of the biggest holes in a ham I've seen.
best defense is a better offense. let the situation dictate the area of the strike. A no2 pencil in the eye stops the fight quickly. strike what ever presents itself. I prefer a steel chair or a heavy beer mug.
Semi autos have to use gas pressure to cycle the action, bleed off gas. chamber noise can be challanging as you need to cycle your action. bolt actions keep the same pressure and no chamber noise. my bolt actions are more suppressed that my AR's. Just not as fun to shoot.
Any of the 223 will kill deer, depends on where you shoot them and how far away. Haven't had much luck with dropping them with chest shots, but DRT on the neck shot. Not as messy.
super accurate and smoking velocity. Very dangerous to varmints. Ballistic tips leave big holes in deer carcasses . cool to shoot pumpkins and watermelons. never had a feed problem.
