i would make that trade any day nothing like the feel of a 1911 in your hand. you cant go wrong with a plane jane springfield either. simple and it works. lucky for the guy with the xd haha
I have loaded a 263 gr lee cast bullet over 4.0 gr of titegroup. it functioned well and recoil was very manegable. Not sure how hard it was on the gun. Would like to chrono some of these loads out of curiosity. I was recommended to run the heaviest recoil spring your gun will function properly...
pretty much what rush_fan said covers it. I own a model p with a 4.75 and a blackhawk in 5.5 I like them both and wouldnt mind a 7 1/2 at some point. What are your plans with the gun? that may help with feedback.
well I have shot an early 80s wingmaster and liked it a lot. also was looking at the gun store today and was looking at an ithica 37 featherlight with 26 in barrel 3in shells. looks hardly used and was thought to be an early 80s gun. I have heard the quality control was pretty bad on the late...
Im looking at getting a new hunting shotgun. Was thinking of getting a newer 870 which is a proven gun. I was wondereing what people with experience with the browning bps think of it. What is the quality and dependability like? Its a little higher price but looks good with nice wood and blueing...
titegroup, unique, bullseye, hp38/231 are poweders I see loaded commonly for 38 spl.
I use titegroup cheap easy and clean just don't double charge it it barely fills the case at 3 grains.
ruger gp 100 in 357 would be a great backup weapon I would load up some 180 xtp's and that should be sufficient for most anything you will run into in the woods and if you are that concerned you could carry some speedloaders as well. OR a sw 686 they have a 7 shot 686+ model you could use as...
I just got a new ruger blackhawk in 45 colt and was loading some hotter loads for it the load consists of starline brass, winchester lp primer, 25.7 grains of h110, nd a hornady 250 grain xtp bullet. I have posted some pictures of the roll crimp and was hoping if someone could tell me if it is...
now that I look at it again its not as bad as I thought. Gun probably has 500 rounds through it only a handful of dry-fires and a lot of use with snap caps.
Can't wait to get the springs and test it out. Thanks again for the help.
Thanks guys for the help. I saw that kit from wolff and was planning on getting that not to badly priced either. Is it it normal to have that wear on the hammer and bolt that I showed in the pictures? also the hand has some wear on it I can post pictures if needed just wondering if that is...
I have a cimarron model p thats about 2 years old now. shooting it the other day I noticed the cylinder was not locking while shooting and with the hammer in full cock the cylinder would still turn. The locking pin was not fully engaging. I did some research and took it apart. I thought I would...
