    Lightweight (for an) AK build

Ok well, I have the itch for a new firearm, and I'm thinking I might just sell off (a few of) my pistols to get it. Enter the AMD-65, widely available for around $450 including shipping. Found a shop that'll transfer for $30. With shipping an AMD65tech stock adapter comes to $42...

    Your First Gun?

Well my childhood's a bit fuzzy ^Kimber, that is a Be-A-Utiful weapon ya got there But I have a picture of myself posing with a .30 carbine over a deer, and I seem to remember that I hit it in the leg and another, more experienced hunter finished it off. That was before the diagnosis, must...

Stunning Report: "Stand Your Ground" Laws Responsible for 500-700 Homicides Per year

No matter what the law states, Self-defense is a human right. When a man picks up a firearm, he knows that he has made the choice to use it. When you make the choice to use a firearm you subject yourself to the current legal standing held by the government of the state in which you live...

    Thoughts on Carrying

Hoosier I hear you As a former misguided youth, I can assure you these dudes weren't doing anything too bad (read: casing) otherwise they would have taken off immediately and returned later. At worst they were getting high, in which case, in my enlightened 20's, I would have scared them off...

    Homemade shotgun QD Bandoleer sling

RC, I totally agree, but this is a "why not" sort of project, honestly, I'm going to make a plain middle section for actual usage, this is more of a range toy setup. My fiancee's family has been here for the last two days, so I've had a bit of time on my hands. Texan, when I had the rounds...

    Homemade shotgun QD Bandoleer sling

report After drilling with the sling for the last hour or so, no rounds have worked themselves out, and I've found the most efficient deployment to be strong arm, muzzle down. I support the foregrip on my weak hand, and the sling twists right off my shoulder, allowing a full draw in about 1 sec.

    Homemade shotgun QD Bandoleer sling

Recently posted about my personal perfection shotgun for $335 over in the shotgun forum, so here's the follow-up on the prototype sling I ended up with (and yes, that is a blanket I'm crocheting for my mother in the background): I say prototype because there are still a few bugs to workout in...

    DIY Home defense/survival/pdw for

Using the maverick 88 20 gauge 26" vent rib shtogun as my base, I recently decided to undertake the task of creating my own personal ultimate weapon. I am by no means a long range shooter, nor am i particularly accurate, nor do I have money, nor physical prowess (although I am apparently a...

    Rejuvenating an old blade

Dated 1945, can't make out the company, not important to me anyway, since I'm keeping it. Just wanted to show off my handiwork. Before: After: Steps: 1. Removed old, damaged grips by using a hacksaw to cut through retaining pins 2. Used a variable speed dremel tool with 50 grit...

Tin Foil Hat Topic: Buying "under the table".

I hear what you'r saying, but your words don't make sense I'm not trying to instigate anything here, but if "THEY" came around to strip you of your constitutionally guaranteed right to bear arms, a right which, beyond all others, is the literal foundation of this entire country (American...

    HD: wide or tight pattern?

I'm going to have to parrot what everyone else is saying The only excuse for a wide pattern is the "hollywood death ray" mentality, in reality you want as many pellets hitting in as a tight a pattern as possible. In an apartment or close residential neighborhood, you want all pellets...

Quick question re: Browning Baby type grips

I recently acquired a Bauer .25 that is used for casual strolls around the neighborhood and such (not looking to get in a pissing match, I like it, I trust it, and for reasons beyond my control, it is my best bet for a concealed arm, get over it.) The Question is this: What are the slimmest...

What is the last gun that you bought?

Here it is sorry, no better pic as I'm at my fiancee's parents' for mother's day. On an unrelated note, anyone know whether the wood grips or plastic ones are thinner on a baby browning type? May just homebrew some for a fun project (as soon as I get my shotgun finished.)
