I have a dilemna going on right now. I currently have a glock 36 and hk p2000sk .40 for ccw. However, I always go between the two for carry and I keep coming back to the glock 36 because I am a huge fan of the .45 round and it's available in +p. However, the p2000sk is very nice (it's an HK)...
There was a failure to fire in a glock 33. It would be nice to have second strike ability with the .357sig since it never happened with any other caliber. It was probably just a bad primer.
The .40 definately has more recoil. I would choose guns like the xd-40sc and p2000sk in .40 but anything smaller would be 9mm. Yes the .40 is stronger ballistically but if you get hit in the face with a 9mm, getting hit by a 10mm would not be any different.
I think caliber choices is just a...
The p2000sk .40 lem is my favorite gun. It's really slim and compact, yet very shootable.
I love the lem trigger because it's double action but the pull is very light. I didn't like the da/sa usp compact because when I shot it, the single action was very very light.
Glock 23 is a great firearm for all purposes. If you use good factory ammo, those KB issues would probably be non-existent. Most .40 sw are hot loads but very very few of them are super hot. The only ones that come to mind is double tap and companies making the 40 sw+p which buffalo bore...
I have a question about those who own the new g36. I have fired one at the range and already made a deposit for a new one. However, when I looked at the frame, it didn't look like all the other glocks.
Here is a picture of the current g30 that I took from a another member...
The USP compact 45 is a nice gun. It has a fair recoil but it's not that bad. I started shooting the .40. Then I shot 9mm and .45. The USP-compact 45 was a bit of a surprise but after 50 rounds or so, you get use to it. It shoots great. I found that other .45 or full size guns absorb the...
The xd-40 subcompact has all the safety that the glock has and a grip safety. It is quite concealable and reliable. It has full support for the .40 if it matters at all.
I think the kb in the 40 glocks are overstated. It doesn't really happen that much. If there is data supporting the proportion of glocks kb'ing compared to others kb'ing, it shouldn't be that different. Anyways, just use factory spec ammo and check it before firing. If it worries you so...
albanian,
When I removed the barrels from the glock and the xd, I stuck a round in there and tried to wiggle it around. The one in the xd has less movement than the glock. This might also explain why the glocks feed everything while the xd-40 does not. Once, I had 3 pmc 165 gr jam on the...
I like the para carry lda. It seems more concealable than the kimber because it's shorter and it doesn't have the 1911 hammer. It is also reliable and it uses the power extracter now so less failures to eject and it didn't have feeding problems.
In a relationship, the two partners have to yield to one another or support each other in order for the relationship to work. Having that said, maybe you should tell her with your enthusiasm that you have with firearms like it's a new hobby. Just be very responsible with it. Maybe she could...
For concealing purposes, you want a short grip but you don't want it too short that you cannot control the firearm. I really like the xdsc, I have one in .40 s&w. It has been great after break in. As a previous posted suggested, maybe you could look into a used glock 26. The 9mm glocks have...
