I have a dilemna going on right now. I currently have a glock 36 and hk p2000sk .40 for ccw. However, I always go between the two for carry and I keep coming back to the glock 36 because I am a huge fan of the .45 round and it's available in +p. However, the p2000sk is very nice (it's an HK) and I like how it brutally tested by DHS since it was one of the firearms granted for the DHS contract. I'm a type of person that wants to carry the biggest caliber that I can shoot and it pisses me off that I keep going back and forth. I don't really like choices and I just want to master 1 firearm for carry and I shoot both just as well.

Would you carry the glock 36 or the p2000sk .40 if you could only have one carry gun?

I had a 36 since once....and sold it. I just never got comfortable w/ the grip :barf: That said, I'm not a fan of the 40s&w but as sub compact guns go...I really like the P2000sk ;)

Without a doubt, I'd carry the P2000sk .40 (I do carry one). I owned a G36 a few years ago and it broke apart in my hand while firing the first time out to the range. The recoil spring assembly broke apart and completely locked up the gun and damaged the frame. So, it would be very difficult for me to trust another G36 for carry. I don't believe the .40 is really any less effective than .45 in these 2 guns and the extra few rounds in the P2000sk is an advantage. That's my opinion based on my experience, of course, YMMV.

G36 p2000sk sc

6.77" 6.42" oal
4.76" 4.61" height
1.13" 1.28" width
27oz 31oz (loaded weight)
3.78" 3.27" barrel
6.18" 5.59" sight radius
6+1 9+1 capacity
.45acp .40sw cartridge
no rail - rail

imo critical concealment stats: width & weight, and highly ymmv, imo only I'd take 7 .45acp over 10 .40sw,

Maybe vs 27 would be more app. comparison?

Oh you already have both. Which do you shoot better? Which conceals better? Which do you like better? Crazy! you have them and you're asking US? I love my 36, but I think I bought one of the non-breaking, non finger pinching, light recoiling, non fte/ftf versioins- I realize not everyone is so lucky. Shoot it better than my 34.
