I have a 39A it is reliable and accurate. It shoots great groups at 50 yds with open sights. It is a great gun and fun to shoot. Congrats. You won't regret it.
I picked up a Baikal 28 SxS a few months ago. I have shot several rounds of sporting clays with. It isn't the nicest looking SxS I own but I shoot it well. It is stiff. I would say that isn't a bad deal.

Has anyone seen one of the new Marlin LC Smith shotguns yet. They aren't available in northern Michigan yet. I hope they don't take as long as Ruger and Weatherby did to get them out.

You may look at DeHaan they are a higher grade Huglu. The Bobwhite and Ringneck are nice shotguns as well. My brother-in-law has 2 ringnecks one in 28 and 1 in 12. I think they are a great gun for the money. You can get into a Dehaan for less that $1000.
