Altor ! Cheapest 9mm Productions gun

I don't like to have fewer than 15 rounds available for self defense. I can only imagine having to wear a trench coat with specially fitted Altor holders. Something like this, but replace the watches with pistols:

Altor ! Cheapest 9mm Productions gun

Altor talks about the tumbling on their website. They mention that tumbling is normal for their pistols. Apparently they use four shallow "micro-grooves" instead of SAAMI's six. At "self-defense" range, the tumbling is not supposed to be a problem.

    Who dislikes/hates the Beretta 92FS/M9?

I carried an M9 for my last deployment. I liked how accurate and dependable it was, but it was never comfortable in my hands. For the size and weight, I want a few more rounds, too. The SF guys all carried Glock 19's which fit my hand better, had the same number of rounds, was lighter, and more...

Altor ! Cheapest 9mm Productions gun

Altor seems to think their pistols are designed for defense. That quote is from their website's FAQs. :what: ... and that led down a new rabbit-hole of internet awesome. Check out this bandolier: :p

Carry Options... Is your gun "shootable" under stress?

As my role has changed from soldier to civilian to older civilian, I have had to reassess both my potential role in an event and my capabilities. One of my limitations definitely fits the 25 meter head shot. I can absolutely do that on my range, but if my glasses are dirty or if the lighting is...

    Tree Pruning w 28 Ga

It is traditional to argue about appropriate caliber (gauge) and load type. I'm a little surprised that your choice of 28 hasn't been questioned already. The internet has taught me that the only important shotgun is 12 gauge, so I'm horrified that you may have left some twigs and branches...

Altor ! Cheapest 9mm Productions gun

The next best thing about these Altors is an opportunity to bring back pirate fashion with modern self-defense! Would something like a falchion or cutlass pair well with three Altors?

Looking for information on where to find information: SMLE No1MkIII* and the internet has been less than helpful

I've tried image searches, but the results I've been getting are basically just other pieces of metal with words stamped on them.

I think the numbers are Arabic, but I would love to know what the other markings say.

Looking for information on where to find information: SMLE No1MkIII* and the internet has been less than helpful

The "Nitro proof" and "303" are obvious, but the triangles, little crowns, and such seem mysterious.

Looking for information on where to find information: SMLE No1MkIII* and the internet has been less than helpful

I picked up a rough condition Lee-Enfield that had been partially sporterized with the intent to convert it to 45ACP. I wanted to find some information on markings, but Google and Reddit aren't bending to my will. I keep finding threads of other people asking similar questions about rifles that...

    When the primer goes "pfffft."

I picked up several different types of 9mm ammo this morning to begin breaking in my new handgun. Out of the Winchester box, 99 were fine, but one was weird. I've never experienced this sort of failure before: Looks like the primer had a structural failure, and all of its magic went out the...

Why Do Weird Things Like This Happen To Me?

You look pretty suspicious to me. I would guess things aren’t actually more common for you. You just happen to be aware enough to detect them more than most.

    Social media gun arguments

I lost hope of having an effective debate about something as morally complicated as lethal force after completely failing to connect on issues related to basic science. That one trick doctors don't want you to know about? Yeah, it isn't real.
