Just saw this..Remarms reintroducing the 1903 Springfield rifle...

The one with an open sight...not the peep. I saw it on an add they ran on youtube; could not find it on their website.

Tisas 1911A1 and 1911A1 "Tanker" (Commander size)....

both .45 caliber. I have seen them on sale sometimes for what seems like a very good price, $350. Any feedback or comments about these models would be appreciated. Thanks!

    What about the Ruger P85?.....

I never see them mentioned on here. Are they in general "liked"? I purchased one back in the 90's for a pretty low price ($180), and although I think it's kinda ugly, it is very reliable. Comments, please?

If one wanted a rifled .410 pistol that patterned decently...

couldn't they be built and sold with extremely slow twist, like one turn in 30 feet?

shooting patched slugs in smooth bore?

I have a Lee slug mold that casts 12 gauge 7/8 oz shotgun slugs that are about .680" diameter. In case you're not familiar with these slugs, they are that small in diameter because they're supposed to be loaded in plastic wads. Is there any reason that I can't load these in a muzzle loading...

Question: patterns of fine shot compared to larger shot....

If I use #4 or #5 shot instead of 7.5, 8, or 9 in light field/trap type reloads: Will the pattern diameter with the larger shot tend to be either larger or smaller? Will the pattern with the larger shot tend to be either more uniform or less? Thanks for any comments! :)

How well made were Llama semi-autos?.....

I always liked the looks of their 1911ish pistols, both full sized and scaled down, but always suspected they weren't that well made. If they weren't super high quality, were they a good "bang for the buck"? Any comments would be appreciated!

    12 gauge "range rod" question....

I purchased a 5/8" hardwood dowel to use as a range rod for my two percussion doubles. I can't imagine what they might be, but are there any modifications or additions that may be done to this dowel to make it work better or be more versatile?

You guys are gonna love to hate this commercially made "zip gun" in 9mm or .380...

It costs just over $100 and must be disassembled to reload (it's a single shot). It weighs 10 oz. and will soon be made in .223. I may buy one in .223 just to watch other people shoot it, LOL. https://altorcorp.com/

Thanksgiving not the same without Cabelas BP revolver specials...

The thing that I loved the most about thanksgiving was Cabelas' incredible specials on black powder revolvers; revolvers that shipped right to your door.

AOW question. Is there such a thing as a really low cost AOW?

I'm thinking along the lines of a single shot...A gun similar to a Harrington and Richardson Handy gun. I will probably settle for something like an American Gun Craft double barrel muzzle loader, but am curious about what breech loaders are available. https://americanguncraft.com/ Thanks in...

    Another 12 gauge question...plastic wads/shot cups...

You guys that use plastic wads..... I have low cost wads made by "pattern control" for 7/8, 1, and 1 1/8 ounce loads. Do you use the whole wad in your muzzle loading shotguns, or do you cut off the bottom "cup" and crush zone and use only the shot cup? I assume that either way that card wads...

    Cylinder bore shotgun pattern question.....

I have two 12 gauge percussion double barrel shotguns, a very light weight Pedersoli, and a Pietta; both made in the '70's. The Pietta has no choke. I thought that the Pedersoli was choked because of markings on the bottom of the barrels under the forearm, but looking at the muzzle, the barrel...

    Swiss K31 questions.....

Were K31's ever used in combat? How do they compare to other manually operated military rifles; advantages or disadvantages?

Yet another lead alloy/round ball question.....

How well would patched balls cast of wheel weight metal work in a smooth bore?

Lee bullet molds that have been discontinued ?......

I think (but am not sure) that Lee has discontinued their .32 caliber double ended wadcutter molds. If this is the case, I'm surprised because this bullet has worked VERY well in my 4" model 16-4 .32 magnum. Over the years, what others have been discontinued?

Thompson SMG drum magazine in WWII?

I was watching a WWII documentary on PBS recently, and clearly saw a marine fighting in the Pacific using a Thompson equipped with a drum magazine (and a Cutts compensator). I didn't think drum magazines were issued to troops? Comments, please?

Please tell me about trigger stops on S&W revolvers...

One of my K frame guns has a trigger stop (1967 m15), another K frame isn't machined to accept a trigger stop ('90's m19), and a third K frame is machined for a stop but doesn't have one ('81 m67). Trigger stops limited overtravel of the trigger, I assume? Are S&W trigger stops adjustable...
