Anybody like .32acp just for fun?

My wife has a Kel-Tec .32. She loves it. It fits her hand, but it is to small for my hand. Once, when I was a caliber snob, I told her to take her glock 19 when we went to a bad part of the state because I felt that a .32 would just p**s the bad people off. I took my M&P 5.56 in the back seat...

    Beretta 92FS worth getting?

I have one and it's my general carry in a old faithful Iwb holster. Someone mentioned holding it and dry firing it the test the "fit" I have found out that ALL guns have two fits. Dry firing & live firing. I had a baby desert eagle that I liked holding, but it was hard on my hand after 10...

    Beretta 87 Cheetah

My daughter wanted a pistol she could carry just about any way so we went to the range that rented guns and she tried some, and choose the cheetah. It fit her hand, and she shot very acceptable groups first try. She does have a lot of trouble racking it, but I didn't teach her the proper way...

Best semi auto for a lefty?

this is most likely too late, but I am Normal/Normal, that is to say, left handed/left eyed. I have used the Beretta M9A1 for a while and the only problem I have had is getting a casing down my shirt or in my shirt pocket every once in a while.

    Browning salt cured stock

Right now it is a plinking rifle, since I can't use a 30-06 in Indiana to hunt. A 30-06 plinking rifle! That just doesn't sound right. But it sure will be fun on the 200 yrd range! I'm not a proficient shooter, that's why a 4" group at 100 yds excites me. Maybe this rifle will help me...

    Browning salt cured stock

Horsemany, I called McMillan and they can replace it with a drop in stock, they bed it, for $618 at my door. I do have to send them everything but the stock. I have been looking on gallery of guns at 30-06 chambered rifles and they range from $366 (Mossburg) to GASP! $3495 (Colt) I think I...

    Browning salt cured stock

My wife inherited a Browning Safari 30-06 rifle from her last husband (he passed, not of gunfire :}) The story behind it is that Browning could not supply enough stocks to keep up with the demand. A employee had read about a method of curing wood by packing it in salt. They started using...

As a confirmed semi-auto shooter, I want to thank everyone who replied to this thread. I have a MUCH better idea of what the early settlers had to go through to defend themselves. I feel like a piker...........:D

    Taking a gun to work?

holster in the workplace That's just what I do here in Indiana. I use a Old Faithful tuckable holster for my Beretta M9A1. When I get to work, I just lock it in the car. If your holster fits you correctly, You shouldn't even notice the empty holster most of the time.

    CB QuikClip holster review.

Thlax, I'm wondering, why do you take your holster off at work? I use a Old Faithful inside the waistband to carry my Beretta M9A1. I just take the pistol out and lock it up when I get to work. I am not aware of any law that will not allow you to wear the holster by it self. There is no Mag...

How do you tell a LEO that you are armed at a traffic stop

Thanks Everyone, I think that about covers it. Also, Thanks Johnny Dollar for the map. Also, Thanks P200SK for the link. Indiana is an open carry state, but they push decorum. sort of "please don't make the sheep nervous". My son carries "semi open" and has never had a problem. He is...

How do you tell a LEO that you are armed at a traffic stop

I have talked to 3 different LEO and got 3 different answers. One: Don't say anything. Two: tell him/her as she walks up to the bike. Three: Hand the LEO your carry permit with your license, and look Harmless. I'm in Indiana, but I travel a lot. In Illinois, I just lock the gun in one...

    Is Breakfree CLP really sufficient?

barrell cleaner Thanks Folks, I just shot about 200~250 rounds of 9 mm and .40 cal, all reloads. The 9mm was using bullseye powder, the .40 cal were factory reloads. I had a hard time getting a patch to come out clean after repeated attempts with rem oil, and other brands. I;m at work now...
