Little late, but I heard of guys simply rolling the rifle up in a piece of cardboard, and taping the ends closed. After a few layers, it would have to be well protected.

Another place for grips. Not as grippy as I like, but they fit well. You can't beat the prices!
It was so snappy, the slide lock would hold the slide back with ammo still in the mag! Had a modified stop that had the nub shaved off in order for it to get through a mag full of ammo. It shot my target powder puff load with the regular stop installed, and functioned perfectly.
I had a Kimber UCII, and had 185gr Golden Sabre bullets, with a max load of power pistol powder, giving me 1000fps out of a 3”! Was snappy, very accurate too.
All good info above. I’ll add not only should the action be stress free bedded, free floating barrel, but the scope base should be stress free bedded too.
Blind mags suck, well at least the one on my Savage did! Ran 100% after changing out to a detachable. My X-bolt flush mag is perfect in function, and rounds don’t fall everywhere when I remove it like the hinged floor plate rifles do.
Only prison time (If you get caught without a NFA stamp.)
A brace is an uncomfortable, shorter than normal, stock substitute, that the ATF illegally classified as a stock.
Did that G kit underfolder with the "straight style" stock work ok? I know the lock notches determined the angle, just wondering if the lock works properly in open and closed positions.
I have shot plenty of rounds through both platforms, and the AKs have never missed a beat, ever! Can’t say the same with my ARs. The tapered 762x39 case, in my opinion, is superior to a straight case. I have no problem using my AKs for SD:) If one breaks, I’ll just grab another.
This one is so...
