    M-1 carbine question

Well, there is a reason they want that much for them, but I do tend to not buy much at gun shows. They our like "carni's" and all know what every other seller has for sell and travel in packs from one town to the next. Hard to get a "real" deal at one. There has to be some good carbs. out there...

    S&W 500---any owners with opinions?

I've shot hand guns since I was three years old. First gun I had was a Ruger "Bearcat" when I was seven. Shot .45colt when I was five. Killed over two dozen deer and wild pigs with them. There's just to seem to some that "Bring on the Cannon" Shooting is to be fun. Not about Mine is bigger than...

    S&W 500---any owners with opinions?

Why not just carry a 30.06? I mean, really, some times there is just, a little to much. To each his own. Bring your tri-pod with it. And remember more is Always better.

    S & W Mod. 41's, ever shoot one?

Thank you all I've shot all kinds of .22's, but that S & W 41 will never leave my hands till I die. Like others have said, lazer like accurate, 100k's of rounds and no prob's, I'm surprised they don't ask 2k or more for them. Next to a Colt S.A.A., the 41's the best pointing hand gun made...

Just loked at a 422 exploded view on e-gunparts.com. Forget what I said that thing looks really hoky.

How do you remove the barrel on a S&W model 422?

Never owned one or seen one in person, but it looks like the barrel is part of the entire frame. You could try this. Clear the weapon (DUH!) eject the clip and pull the slide back. Most smith slides lock back. Then pull down on the trigger guard. Should be a mech. in there to release the slide...

    S & W Mod. 41's, ever shoot one?

My dad did the triggers, very light but sweet. They were good out of the box, but had a little creep and back play. This was still after about 1k rounds through them each.

    S & W Mod. 41's, ever shoot one?

Mod 41's Have had mine since '75 my dad gave it to me when I was 13, he had one too. We had three Ruger Mk's, two 1's and a 2 with a bull before that. Then we got to shoot a buddy's 41. We thought at the time the Mk's were the stuff. Good shooters, reliable and such, though I hated the mags...

    S & W Mod. 41's, ever shoot one?

Just wondering how many of THR shooters out there own or have shot a Smith Mod. 41 and what you think of them. Me? I just about wet my pants when I look at mine, and after shooting it, well that's a little to personal. LOL

    Revolver Jam

Also if you were shooting reloads, the case head can get a nick in it or the primer may not be seated all the way. Either can cause that too happen.

    Why you love .45colt?

S.A. Golden, you REALLY need to spend some time on the range practicing with a S.A. But maybe FIRST you should read "SIX GUNS" by Kieth. But hey, what did he know? You may have been "taught" all kinds of things in LEO classes, but he lived it! Good day to all and stay safe,......and check...

    Strange Thought about Anti-Gun Mindset

There is no doubt that I would not pick up my colt saa .45 first, but if I had no choice a bow would be just fine. Ever see what a broadhead can do? Sometimes I get to thinking if the SHTF, what in the long run would I rather have? Ii'll take my bow and be real quiet and keep my eyes open. Try...
