I have an older 80s model 226 and I have a 2014 229. I think the 226 is a much better machine. The trigger is better and it is more accurate. I'm never getting rid of it. Never.
Perhaps I misrepresented myself. I don't go around acting like a blowhard. I actually engage in intellectual conversation with the uninformed. However the wretched pro gun control crowd is not interested in facts. You won't persuade them and I get pleasure out of aggravating them. That's all...

The people that are pushing gun control aren't critical thinkers. You can't reason with someone that is unreasonable. You can't use logic on an illogical person. They are driven by absurd beliefs that you won't change.
We keep losing ground because while we are trying to reason with them...
You have to know your audience. Sorry if I stirred the pot too much here.
Really though, the comment I made about lead poisoning is no different than saying "from my cold dead hands".
This is part of my point.
I just love showing my ARs off at family functions when my liberal mother in law is there. She can't stand it but it's so funny to me.
Just tell them it's your god given right and if they want to infringe on that right they need to bring something for lead poisoning with them.
Make sure you take a picture of their expression.
I don't see anything wrong with a DPMS other than they are overgassed like most commercial grade ARs. They are considered to be a lower end brand though. Make sure it has a 5.56 chamber. Some of them came with a 223 chamber and you wouldn't want to shoot 5.56 ammo in it.

I wouldn't give them any ammo. If they need to be protected they can call me and I'll shoot the bad guys up for them.
