This place doesn't sound like The High Road anymore...

Odd. The moderators who have posted in this thread seem to disagree with you. Healthy debate is welcomed, personal attacks and slander are not. Interesting suppositions. You know nothing about me. Nobody poked me with a stick. I just got tired of all of the childish rantings. No, I...

A lot of people are posting here without reading the thread in its entirety... ;) Bush isn't "my guy", folks. How gentlemanly of you. Thanks for the advice. There is a reason why I have nearly 5000 posts over at SIGForum and less than 500 here. I think that I'm done with THR for a few...

I never said that I care for any of those terms, I only posted what I saw today. Name calling from any camp is irresponsible. In all honesty, I've probably been guilty of it in the past to some degree (a la "sKerry" and "Hitlery"), and I am not justifying my actions because that would be...

I agree, and I feel that you're argument was strengthened by the fact that you presented it (as usual) without childish attacks and name calling. I voted for Bush because I couldn't imagine what kind of injustices and infringements upon my rights would be played out under a Kerry...

I see my point has fallen on several deaf ears. I was always taught that it is what you do when you think you are alone, when you think you are anonymous, that really defines who you are as a person. Sure, I can "get over it" and I can learn to "DEAL WITH IT" or I can chose to "walk away...

Exactly. I think you said it better than I could have.

It has nothing to do with not being allowed to disagree with the President of the United States of America. It has to do with civility, respect, and maturity. Personally, I think that President Bush's immigration policies are treasonous, but that doesn't mean that I am going to be so...

With all of the rabid rantings and foaming at the mouth it sure sounds like the extremists that we are often labelled as around here. I'm not happy with a lot of the things that I see around me, but if you degenerate into name calling, hyperventilating, and throw logic and reason out the window...

CNN covers Cheney with mysterious 'X'

The TV savvy people over on SIGForum are debating this one right now, too. The thread has pictures of the interview, too. http://sigforum.com/groupee/forums/a/tpc/f/320601935/m/892100414 If the "X" was a glitch, why didn't it also show up on the host's face when his image was shown on the TV...

BYU Prof says 9-11 was BushCo. plot!!!!!!!!!!!

 Nice. Reference your knowledge from two anti-Mormon sites. Next we'll be seeing links to Nazi websites for information on what Jews believe. :fire: Krenn stated it best at about page 3 or so. Read his information if you want the truth about what Mormons believe.

BYU Prof says 9-11 was BushCo. plot!!!!!!!!!!!

And I heard that 7th Day Adventists eat their young, so it must be true 'cause I HEARD IT ON THE INTERNET!!! Um...I'm a Mormon. Be careful what you say because you don't know what the heck you are talking about.

BYU Prof says 9-11 was BushCo. plot!!!!!!!!!!!

Tenure or not, I don't see his career lasting too long at BYU. It is one of the most conservative schools in the nation. Mormons are generally very, very supportive of our troops, and of the liberation of oppressed peoples (have a look at their history and you'll understand why).

Legality of stopping a 'perceived' dog attack

Private property or not, though, I can understand a man attacking a dog with whatever he has on hand, even his bare hands if necessary, to protect his child. I know that I would do the same. Is it "tactical". No. Is it "the proper tool for the job". No. Is it being a loving parent? You...

Legality of stopping a 'perceived' dog attack

I'm sorry, Cosmoline, perhaps I am being disrespectful and for that I apologize, but you and I just don't see eye to eye on this one. If your dog is growling and chasing around some guy and his little girl on your property you'd feel justified in killing him because he is a "criminal"? Maybe...

Legality of stopping a 'perceived' dog attack

LOL! I hadn't thought of that one. "Your honor, members of the jury, I had no choice but to take down the little girl after I plugged 'er daddy 'cause the only logical explanation is that she was COMING AFTER ME NEXT!!!" Maybe things work out a bit differently up in Alaska... ;) ...

Legality of stopping a 'perceived' dog attack

You know. I grew up with dogs in my family my entire life. They were loved and treated with care as though they were members of the family. However, we never crossed the line into believing that they had more worth than a human being. They are pets. To feel justified in killing another...

Legality of stopping a 'perceived' dog attack

This is one of the more choice comments I've heard in a while... Just try to pass that one off to the jury, "That summabitch kilt my dogs 'cuz they were a-growlin' at his little girl, so I done plugged 'im!!!" Yeah, I'm sure that you'd get a justified homicide decision on that...

    New Bond: "I hate guns"

That guy's a moron. Bond had his Martinis "shaken not stirred." Just goes to show you how much of a Bond fan he is. I'm tired of the Bond movies anyway. They don't even have any real story any more.

Proposed Florida law: Companies can't keep employees from bringing guns to work

They can. I am not a gubmint worker and I can carry my gun anywhere that isn't a courthouse, prison, or mental unit.
