    OAL inconsistencies

Doesn't look like it is a big enough variance to matter. The seating doodad is shaped and so usually presses on the bullet a bit further down than the very tip. So, slight, almost microscopic variances in bullet shape means that it may push eac bullet in a slightly different spot. So the depth...

    "Match grade" reloads

For me, that is excessive for IPSC ammo. Understand about a clean primer pocket, but for the intended application, if the primer seats, its clean enough. For match grade ammo for accuracy, then sure. But if that was the intended application, and you were at the level where cleanliness was the...

What's your favorite brass cartride case tumbling media?

If you zoom in, you will see it is just water. ETA OOPS.Guess someone already answered. Thinking of dropping by harbor freight and picking up a cheap tumbler to check out this wet tumbling.

Unique, 158 lead, 38 spl cases, and a smith 19-3

Think it is fairly typical with a GP100. My throats wont take a .358 leaded but a .357 plated is a nice snug fit. Probably loaded less tha 1000 rounds total in my short reloading career, but i reckon the plated gave better accuracy thinking about it. Now my ruger Super Blackhawk 44 magtastic...

    Parts for Lee Safety Prime?

I think you can submit a ticket right from their website. Describe the problem, take a picture of the bad spring, attach it to the support ticket and a few days later chances are the new part will be in your mailbox.

New pound of 10 year old powder?

My opinion is that 10 year old powder is fine, if you bought it 10 years ago and therefore can vouch for its storage conditions. I eould not be ok buying it from a vendor. Chances are good that with all the shortages we have seen, some vendors have cast a wide net for acquiring stock to sell...

Seating depth & Roll Crimp question

Another one here that taper crimps plated bullets. Works very well. These are 38 specials in a GP100. No issues with setback at all. But there is minimal recoil, so i wouldnt expect there to be regardless of crimp type.

    Powder Moisture?

Its just static. Wipe out the inside of the hopper with a dryer sheet. That will help eliminate it. Also, you should only store powder in the original container. Not in tuppeware containers.

    What reloading book?

I got the Lyman 49th as my first reloading book. Still like it the best. Also have the lee and spee manuals. As well as having info online, the powder companies sometimes also have a free booklet available in the stores where their products are sold that contain basic load data

    What powders require magnum primers?

Fairly new to reloading, but I do know that HS-6 recommends a magnum pistol primer. I use it for my .357 loads

what would cause my 550b to dispense inconsistent powder measurements?

Dont know much about that dispenser, but i am going to go along with the two theories of static and/or the importance of consistency in operating the press handle. I had issues with my lee pro autodisk. The wiping the inside with a dryer sheet helped with the static. I also rubber band a dryer...

after 20K rounds something finally broke on my LCT

Yup. Messed up the first couple of ratchets on mine too. Got a handful of replacements. Still on the first one of those. Works like a champ now. Really cant beat it for the money. I too put a little dab of white lithium grease on the turret heaf and the index i ng rod.

    Powder prices

Last powder I got was 231. It was 27 bucks. To be honest, time is money. If i have to pay a couple extra bucks to get it locally and not faff about with Haznat, signing for deliveries etc, then i am good with that. Also rather pay 27 bucks for a pound of powder than walk away and spend 27 bucks...

    frankford arsenal

Have the tumbler. Works great. Have the digital scale. Works great too and check it against my RCBS balance. That said, only been loading a few months, so cannot speak for about longevity.

Handing A Loaded Gun to Another

I have handed over possession of a loaded gun at the range, in particular to new shooters.. That said i dont physically hand it to them. I place it on the bench muzzle down range, step back, have them step forward to the bench and take possession. I really would not feel comfortable with more...

    strange occurrence at my house

Yup. Sounds like he spotted what he thought was a quick opportunity to grab something and make a few bucks.

    Decapping

Done it too. They worked. I guess one of the reasons i reuse them rather than just toss them is that I just dont want 99 finished rounds in the ammo box! Like it even really matters but there you go...... I have also found them to be pretty resistant to handling, still working after retrieving...

Could someone explain the process of sending reloaded ammo?

I read it as perhaps hazmat fees being done away with for limited quantity shipments as they may no longer require the paperwork. Being optimistic.

    GP100 market value?

Well then it is def too high for used. At least in my neck of the woods. Like i said, LGS is selling new for way under 600 and amazon has fiber optic for under $30. Takes less than 60 seconds to install. http://www.amazon.com/HiViz-Ruger-GP100-Handgun-Sight/dp/B000EBUG4K

    GP100 market value?

A spring kit is something like 10 bucks and a fibre optic is less than $30 shipped from amazon. Dont know about 3 inch models but do know my LGS sells the 4 inch for $560 brand new. Thats Stainless too. And in stock. Maybe the 3 inch is more desirable to some.
